Skills uncapped?

Does anyone in game know if the skill caps have been removed yet?
Up to 9 yet?

I've skill challenged my rA Defense Mastery.
Unlocks the cap for it and gave me a Ring of Protection.

Smash Mastery, Critical Hit, Combat Mastery, Standing Endurance, and a couple of other skills can also be gotten to r9

I am able to train Guard to 9 immediately at L30. A "Challenge" button was next to Shield Mastery. I pressed it without knowing what it does. Now Guard is "In Progress" and Shield Mastery is "Challenged."
