This post is to allow you Nationers to know we've revamped our infraction system.



["10 Day(s)" is how long said infraction takes to expire]

Backseat moderating
1 Point 10 Day(s)

Breaking marketplace rules
1 Point 5 Day(s)

Minor flaming/insulting of a member
1 Point 15 Day(s)

Repeated minor offences (ex: necro posting)
1 Point 30 Day(s)

Spamming
1 Point 10 Day(s)

Posting innapropriate content as determined by staff
2 Point 15 Day(s)

Disobeying or disrespecting staff
3 Point 30 Day(s)

Serious flaming/insulting of other member
5 Point 30 Day(s)

Posting content that is obviously not allowed (ex: nudity)
10 Point 60 Day(s)




Points Infractions Ban Period
10 3 Day(s)
20 2 Week(s)
30 Forever
15 1 Month(s)
30 Forever

The above charts tell you how many points you will receive, and how long you'll receive a ban after accumulating enough points. I'll explain the ban system:

If you accumulate 10 points, you'll receive a 3 day ban.
If you accumulate 20 points, you'll receive a 2 week ban.
If you accumulate 30 points you'll receive a permanent ban.
If your grand total of infractions reach 15, you'll receive a one month ban.
If your grand total of infractions reach 30, you'll receive a permaban.

We the staff of Mabination do have the right to ban you without going through the infraction process, but this will NEVER happen without serious discussion in the staff section.

If you feel you have been wronged by a staff member, contact Arsik (http://mabination.com/members/arsik.html) , Falsetto (http://mabination.com/members/falsetto.html), or Osayidan (http://mabination.com/members/osayidan.html) and explain to them why you should have not received the punishment.

Also, by deleting the proof, that gives no reason to infract the person due to there being no proof, yes?

You posted a Video that Zeph deemed inappropriate. I can still see the thread, but the video itself isn't there(it was edited out).

Also, you shouldn't need clarification you did something wrong in the past, you did it once, I hope you wouldn't do it again.

Also, just wanted to include that, if by any chance you receive an infraction and you don't understand exactly why, first PM the moderator who gave you the infraction for a clarification. If you still disagree, then PM Falsetto, Osayidan or Arsik.

Running off to another moderator is silly, especially when that person may not understand the situation you're involved with.

Be civil and be respectful, of course. Why should anyone listen to you if you're just yelling and screaming out foul words after receiving an infraction?


Minor insults or flaming don't include jokeful or playful behavior between people. Pikablu and Shirayuki are always joking around with each other, not flaming each other. That is fine, IMO. If you receive such an infraction for joking around with a friend, just PM the moderator who gave ya the infraction and clarify things. It'll definitely be reversed.

Mods want to lay the smack down themselves, so they won't let us peasant users get involved.

The reason why it's against the rules, is because the moderators here have had problems with it before. Both here and at the Guru, if I remember correctly. It was back in the Guru where they first established this non-backseat-modding rule.

Backseat modding just often leads to bigger arguments and possible flaming.
