Soloing Decisive Battle

So i have a really weird glitch where it kicks me out of decisive battle in the boss room when i have a party, but it doesn't glitch when i solo. Do you guys have any tips or skill ranks to have when fighting the big red guy? I'm a Lann.

I'll make a video of me soloing him on my Lann, but its basically just moving back whenever he begins a smash animation, and starting a combo at the right place so you can hit him with your smash when he's in his 'resting' animation after the smashes he does.

Edit: Finally uploaded the video I made. Badly done and stops halfway through, but shows even a Fiona user on a Lann that's only L15 can do it.

This was a bish to solo as Fiona. What I did was run around the ruin columns to make distance and throwing rocks at him. if he starts to take a break, I'd do the whirlwinding combo and keeping my distance. Lann was easy to do for this vs Fiona.. if I got hit up and needed to recover, I ran straight up the stairs. if he didn't follow all the way, you are safe to heal up or fix armor. You'd have to make him break those pillars tho, and hope he doesn't windmill the rocks.

The strategy for Lann works just as well for Fiona though. Only Fiona can quickly stun him compared to Lann.

I probably died at him at least 10 times last night. Fiona just seems harder for me to clear it with vs Lann due to their attack speeds.

All I do is run around like a retard until he kills all his "friends" that spawned with him and broke some stuff. Then I throw pieces of broke stuff at him to stun him then do a combo on him, as soon as I complete my combo he does his kick, so I shield up then run out of the way and repeat.
