Yeah, every once in a while someone will recognize me as kitaek27, or be led into a conversion about a "guy on the mabinogi forums, something like a kita...something".

My sister managed to meet a few people at the anime convetion this weekend in mabinogi costumes who all knew me. Hurr.

And I've run into people once or twice before.

That anime convetion. If it wasn't for work I might have gone. From what my ex tells me there was a ridiculously large number of Touhou and Yandere cosplays this year, with a general drop of Naruto cosplays. And lots of little children doing cosplays like Lucky Star. Should've gone.. should've gone...

Give me a day or two to start gathering photos and I'll try to share what I can find.

Most people are very normalfags who don't cosplay anyways.
You can mind your own business the entire time, but you'll see a lot of people who are much more social than they would normally be because they believe they're in an area where people can finally understand them.

Its actually not that great, which is why I stopped going since last year.

A lot of Naruto cosplays, Bleach cosplays, and L's make up about 80% of the total cosplays that run around.

The human legs are fake and part of the costume. The turkey legs are actually your legs. Works out fine as a chocobo.

Its an incredibly unpleasant experience in which you are swarmed by hundreds of annoying weaboos.
The effort makes the trip worth it due to the fact that you will run in to one or two really cool people or cosplays that really make your day.

There are artist alleys, panels, and certain events worth participating as well.

Also, video game tournies.

I heard there was a hisoutensoku tournament, and everyone sucked. I REALLY wish I could've been there.

Cons got boring for me ages ago. I used to love the dealer's room, but now they don't seem to have anything I'm interested in [which is yuri, I guess].
It's not so much a crazy nerd rush... Just people milling around wondering what to do and getting somewhat smelly in the process.

Artist Alley > Dealer's Room.

Most of the time Dealer's Room items are all accessible on the internet.

Artist Alley however is full of talented individuals who make their own anime products. They are usually there to sell, but often times they just enjoy promoting their work so you can follow up with them later at home through their websites.

They had no idea who I was, but their teachers from before they joined my group gave out my website for reference on a few things they teach.
Other than that I don't know of anyone offline who knows me that way.

But anyway, it was really fun. I liked it. So much to do. But it's a convention for
