Welcome to the MabiNation video scavenger hunt event!
Q: WTH is a video scavenger hunt?! :what:
A: There's a list of in-game things for you to capture on video. You upload them to youtube with proof that it's your video, and you win prizes on a per-video basis. It's an easy way to earn lots of forum golds and some other prizes.
How to Record Video:
There's the easiest way, the in-game recorder. You can also use software like Fraps. You don't really need to edit the video, just capture what is asked and upload it. No fancy cutting or audio work needed. In fact, the faster you get it done the better, since there's a limited amount of winners per "object" to record. If you need technical help, ask in the Ferghus tech section (be sure to use holy water).
The Rules:
Video must be yours, information on proving it can be found after the rules.
Technically you may upload as many videos as you want, but when posting here you are limited to winning only 2 times. So choose wisely.
When posting a video here, be sure to specify for which requirement (even if it is obvious in the video itself).
The winners for each requirement are chosen by whoever posts first, with a valid video. Each requirement has a different number of winners.
You can not win a prize that's 'worst' than another. For example if you win an account lvl 3 upgrade, and a lvl 2 upgrade, you will only get the level 3. So again choose wisely which requirements you try to win at.
A Valid Video is:
A video that was uploaded after this thread was created. Fulfills the requirement you are posting for, and is proven to be yours. To prove the video is yours, you should include your mabination forum name in the description. You should also make it clear that the video is for the mabination scavenger hunt, either by including that info in the title or description, preferably with the requirement it is fulfilling.
Example title would be:
Mabination Scavenger Hunt - Dragon's FireballExample Description:
A desert dragon's fireball for the mabination scavenger hunt. Forum name Osayidan <optional URL to profile or this thread>. <any other text you want to put>If you want to go the extra step, shout-out to mabination in your video recording so we can see the chat bubble over you or your friends' head. This isn't required, but is something people can do if they want to shut people up about calling their video fake or taken from before this event.
The quality/professionalism of a video is irrelevant. The first valid videos submitted for the category win. This is to make the event more accessible to people who don't know how to do fancy video editing.

5 People wearing an amazing cap. All using the same skill or gesture. Would be something like all playing dead at once, or all dancing, or whatever other fancy gestures you want to do. Sitting also counts, as ell as any other skill with a visible element to it, as long as all 5 are doing it at once (perfect synch not required).
Prize: Custom (Non-Staff) Name color, level 2 account upgrade

Three Paper Dragons
Show the death of three different dragons, with yourself visible, wearing a paper hat.
It does not matter which dragons. Can be field bosses, G3, G8. You do not have to be the one killing the dragon, you don't even need to touch it. Just show it getting owned.

Yourself, and optionally any number of friends, standing in the middle of where a dragon's fireball lands. Making it funny is optional (i.e: stand there in your underwear with a Nao wooden mask thingy).
Prize: Dragon icon/pet of your choosing (red,desert,prairie)

2 Giants, 2 Elves and 2 Humans, one of each gender for each race, sitting around a camp fire, doing friendly camp fire stuff. (eating, someone playing an instrument or whatever you think fits).
Prize: 5000 gold

Note: Multiple people can work together making this one, but for each to count you -must- have the recordings be from the point of view of your own character. That means 6 people can submit 6 different videos from the point of view of their character, all at the same camp fire.
Field Boss Massacre
Sharpen your sword and get your camera ready. Get a video of yourself near a dead field boss, or killing a field boss, while shouting out "MABINATION!" at the monster's death. Any field boss counts, from the weakling black raccoon of dunbarton, to that ugly thing in the lake called Nied.
Prize: 2000 gold

Even though the end date is may 9, that is only the date where videos will no longer be taken in. Video submissions will be checked regularly and winners updated. All prizes will be handed out may 9.
