Suddenly really laggy?

Usually my game is really smooth but all of a sudden it started to get really choppy while I was in town.
It's still pretty laggy so is anyone else experiencing this?

Mine's usually laggy in-town, and when I get on the boat it's okay.

Isn't it just because you're connecting to the server then switched to a host?

it might be your processor or graphics card. If not then its just server issues. On occasion the server takes forever to make a boat.

Do you usually have people in robes and it was changed to in all equipment?

Probably just random lag though. I get it sometimes but its usually bearable.

This might not be related, but I got kicked off boats 3 times today due to server delay or something. Maybe they're trying something on the network?

Ever since the Scythe update, I've started to randomly get frame drops =( Have to restart the client a few times to fix it. Like normally I'll run at a smooth-ish rate of like 40 FPS or so, but after the Scythe Update, there are times where it'd keep alternating between 60 and 25, which is really annoying >_>; But as I said before, just restarting the client a few times will eventually give me my normal 40-ish FPS again

Yeah, it isn't just you. My computer's less than a month old and a bit of a beast, and I'm getting the same kind of frame rate lag spike nonsense when I run smooth as butter most of the time. Basically exactly what heretic said above me. D: Source engine games especially like to do that for some reason. When I played TF2 regularly, certain updates would make nearly everyone's frame rate slog. But combined with the hybrid Nexon stream/p2p thing Vindictus has going on, it just seems borked all around. Hopefully at least some of these issues will clear up in the next update.

i never lag except when in a party so even tho i think nexon isnt great server wise really if u lag "in town" its ur pc peeps

I have been getting really weird frame rate spikes as well.. so it's not just you.

Set the power settings on your computer to "High Performance" if it isn't already. The same thing happened to me, and it was because I had accidentally lowered my settings.

My computer's always on max performance, so that's not it.

Hmm it seems like setting Vindictus.exe to an Above Normal Priority makes the frame dropping happen less drastically =o
