Hello. My name is SoDevious and I am currently a Level 38 Lann on the East Server. I am also the leader of the newly created guild named 'Restless'. A few of you may recognize me from the Nexon forums, a few of you might recognize me from my wiki edits and of course a few might recognize me from in game. Anyways, I heard about Vindictus a while back and really liked the way it looked. Was too late for the closed beta, so I started in Early Access. I multiplied and distributed the keys over at MMOSite to help others get into the game while they could, and then began my own Vindictus character. Because there was a fire incident in my house though, and we had to vacate and temporarily move to my cousins, my Early Access days ended a little.. well... early. Anyways, Open Beta marked the release of the guild system too, and since I didn't like most of the guild names that were already in the list, I decided to create my own. I created a guild named Tool, and with a successful career, at 99 members, I decided to disband it. I recreated it with the new name 'Restless' and this is where we are at now. For more information on why we disbanded, scroll down to the first post in this thread.

After the deletion of tool, Restless was made to stand in its place. Within three days we've gotten 80+ Members, only 10-15 shy of how many we had gotten in Tool over the course of a month. This number includes quite a few of our old members (many haven't even responded yet), and a large sum of new joiners, active players that we've met in battles or that have applied on their own.

We are a decent-sized guild, with a high activity rate. And don't mistake our numbers for a poorly managed guild. We are very well managed and are well kept. We have never had a single issue in the guild, and have so far been nicely balanced and well controlled. We have players of all types, from light and casual players that some days only sign on to play dailies, to grinders with 15k+ AP and 130+ Titles. While the majority of the players are Level 38, we do accept players of all levels, they just have to be able to follow the rules and show a decent amount of activity.

All in all, we're an easygoing, stable guild, with comitted members and fun people to talk to. We are a mildly large group that feels really small once you're with us, just because of how welcoming it is. There are many people who joined the guild saying that there's a good chance that they'd leave later, but all of them decided to stay. If you're looking for fun and friendly people, that are both good at playing the game and helping each other out at the same time, and are similar to that yourself, then you should really consider giving us a go.

Why Tool was Disbanded:

Yes, the guild Tool was disbanded. At 99 Members, we felt we needed a change of pace. A few people were turned off by the name, and since the guild was made way back in early October, we didn't know how many of our members were inactive or not. Let's face it, a lot of people in general quit over the token system, and even more over the lack of content. This is why we felt it was needed to weed out the rotten apples in the guild (if there were any), but going through each member individually and figuring out whether or not they had quit or were just waiting on the new content, was impossible.

This is why for a few hours in guild chat we discussed a new name and then I disbanded the guild. I then proceeded to send a mail to all our old 99 Members, inviting them to return and re-apply for the new one. This way, anybody who's active would respond to the e-mail and apply, and anybody who had quit, obviously would not. This way we felt that we could build a strong active core for the guild.

We were right, and from an average activity of 3-8 people a day we jumped to 15-20 within 24 hours. This was heavily because we got a sudden burst of new applicants wanting to join the guild, without being recruited. Many more than the people who had wanted to join Tool.
