That was the message my friend got when she was trying to download the patch for Mabinogi. This is her first time installing Mabi and she said it was taking forever to download the patch and when she tried to manually download it, that message popped up. She can't start the game from the site because I believe she said she had to download something else for that too? She has the game installed and everything, it's just the patch to be able to play it.

Try a different installation of it. If that doesn't work try doing so on a different browser.

Or also, tell her to check if her computer meets the requirements for Mabinogi to run.

Just go Start menu on your desktop or whatever, Select run, and type in Dxdiag, check your system if it meets the requirements.
