Instead of having a bunch of random threads that show up in Bean Rua about the new games, someone may as well make an official one, or at least a general one, one where we can discuss the fifth generation Pokemon, tips on where to go, as well as the obvious exchanging of Friend Codes.

His final evolution looks pretty awesome, but he's Physical and only learns Special Flying-type moves (except for Sky Attack, but that's useless).

Not to my knowledge, and I'm not sure if we should just do a single universal Pokemon thread, and then having people nudge me whenever a new friend code gets added somewhere in the thread so I can update it, or have a thread for each generation to prevent any possible confusion.

Also going to be a bit before I start whoring out my Oshawott, since I still have to catch a male Pokemon, since I somehow captured only female Pokemon up to the point I'm currently at, including the Pansear I got from that one dude. :V

And even then, I'll have to hope that I get another female from the egg so that I can take my main Oshawott out and let her daughter be the one making the babies. :V

If you have a Friend Pad, you have your friend code, though it's temporary until you actually connect through WiFi. And Kaz, you don't get your Friend Pad until you beat the first Gym and do the next event involving this game's enemy team.

I'm not that cruel. I was only planning on breeding it with a male Blitzle, which is an electric zebra. I don't see the cruelty in it other than making it a sex slave until it breeds a female Oshawott, then having my original Oshawott's daughter be the sex slave.

Female Tepig. I need a person with a female Tepig to help me in my breeding endeavors to give out to the other players so they can have all three starters. Not sure if Kaz has a female Snivy or not.

Also, I would avoid Snivy since unless it's a Dreamworld Snivy, it'll be very weak, and even if it is a Dreamworld Snivy, you'll pretty much only be spamming Leaf Storm for massive damage, in which your human opponents will realize and know how to counter you.

You can change it by going into the Union Room or talking to some NPC that will ask you what type of trainer you are. Or something like that, I think. :l

I then proceeded to name him Snape. I was torn between Severus and Snape only cause the name field isn't long enough to with Severus Snape. Hey the name sounds cool for a pokemon named Snivy and Snape is like a snake anyways...or is that Voldemort. Oh well. Anyways...

Btw, who here got the Liberty Pass and caught Victini? I got lucky, caught him with my last pokeball that I had after throwing like 7 others and it was a net ball. I called him Lucky*Star cause well I think he's a cute lucky little dude.

Got 3 Badges so far and most of my team is level 20. Still a long ways to go. Maybe I shouldn't have started training 6 at once...oh well. I'll get there slowly but surely.

Training is easily done by running outside of grass patches and waiting for one to start shaking and then going to it to fight Audinos. Massive experience, even if your team is at a much higher level than the wild Audino.

My nephews and I got our copies yesterday! We each started with a different starter. I got Snivy and I'm really liking him. Very cute. I'm really liking my Blitzle, drilbur, and Lillipup(who evolved but I can't remember what it's called cause I renamed him). It's fun having new pokemon everywhere. I kinda wish they did it more often instead of having the same guys everywhere.

I can't wait to catch a rufflet but I heard he's really late in the game. Kinda bummed about that. That guy's the only reason I picked white. If somebody gets one I'd love to trade! My friend code is 2709 0882 8461

I love that they put the GTS in every pokecenter. That was a great idea! The GTS negotiations in fun too. It's hilarious trying to tell people what you want by using those smilies.

Okay, finally got my bicycle and my first egg hatched into a female Oshawott, allowing me to take back my original starter, so Arsik's Oshawott breeding service is now open. If you want one, just tell me here and when you want to meet up, and if you haven't posted it yet, your friend code so that I can add you to give you your baby Oshawott. I honestly don't care if I get a baby starter that isn't Oshawott in the trade, though one would be nice, though I do want something decent if you want a female Oshawott of your own, either a Black version exclusive, or a starter in return, preferably a female one so I can also breed them as well.

Either Snivy or Tepig, since as I said, I'm pretty much giving away free Oshawotts. And if you're patient enough, get a female one for me, so I can breed it for you while you're using Oshawott, then once I get a female starter of my own, I'll give you back your main starter. But seriously, with me giving out free Oshawotts, there's really no reason to get one.

Because seasons change every month instead of every three months like in the real world, which is nice, since there are Pokemon that only show up during certain seasons, so I'd rather wait a couple of months to catch a Pokemon instead of waiting a year to catch the same thing.

Btw, got my 5th badge last night. I hated the leader's 2nd Pokemon. God Damn Bulldozing maniac. I kicked his arse once my Snape got to level 32 and learned Leaf Blade.

Victini is pretty good I have to admit. He has pretty good hp and solid def and not too shabby attack. My team is getting there bit by bit. I'll have to see how far I get.

Is it just me or is there a massive lack of HM's in this version of pokemon. I only has Cut atm.

Well I got my 8th badge yesterday. Silly me didn't have an ice pokemon so...

I had to go run down to the cold storage and catch a Vanilla Ice Cream cone and train that up to beat up some dragons.


Now, I must find that useless wannabe Champion if "Lord N" hasn't beaten him with his all mighty Zekrom first. You know, I have to say. I'm impressed. Team Plasma is the first gang ever to be successful at first instead of failing at the end. No other gang has successfully walked off with a Legendary to go control the world. Yet, here is their King N, flying around the world on his Zekrom destroying any who defy him!

I hope my Ice Cream Cone can beat up Zekrom.

Either way, I'm still going with the female protagonist. Simply because only Red and Brendan/Ruby have the best hats in the series, and I refuse to play as a male character unless there's someone that rivals it.

I think this is my favorite pokemon game ever. Only sad thing is I'm starting to see random wild pokemon battles as a waste of time. There's no reason to fight them with audino running around in the shaky grass. Not that I run into that many shinies anyway. In my more than ten years of playing I've only caught two shinies.

They are in the 48-50 range and the types are Ghost, Fighting, Psychic, and Dark. Using my dark alligator dude that I have (I can't remember it's name) I can take out the Ghost and Physic person with ease. Fighting I use my Pheasant and for Dark...well...I don't have any fighting pokemon so Imma wing it.

Well I did this late, but I finally managed to beat the Elite Four, N, and Ghetsis. This is my team so far :

The only problem I've had with it was the huge hole in my team with the major weakness of Earthquake and other ground moves. My Cinccino also usually either gets one hit KO'd or severely damaged, which is why I usually feign away from Normal Types. I think it's because I held off on evolving her until level 45 where she learned Last Resort.

Carracosta also has a ton of weaknesses, which annoyed the living hell out of me when nearly every team I faced had a pokemon that knew Electric, Ground, Grass, or Fighting moves. Other than those, if I'm able to use Shell Smash I could beat the living daylights out of most enemies.

As for the rest of my team, My starter pretty much does both tanking and raping. It was able to take a surf attack from Ghetsis' Hydreigon (Which really pissed me off since that thing killed off half of my team) and have HP in the Yellow Zone. Flame Charge helps it get the next hit in before the enemy, which is usually either Heat Crash or Head Smash depending on the size of the pokemon.

Lilligant is also awesome with Petal Dance, I'm basically using a grass version of Dragons Rage, and with Lilligant's ability, I don't get confused.

Galvantula is pretty awesome too. It's fragile to a couple of attacks, but it nearly always hits first thanks to it's speed. With Electroweb, Agility, and Electro Ball I can pretty much ohko a handful of enemies.

I don't know what's going to fill up my 6th slot yet, nor what I might want to use to replace any pokemon on my team. I've taken a shine to these pokemon in particular. For the mean time I have Zekrom sitting in the sixth slot, which I only use when all my other pokemon are knocked out, which is a rare occurrence.

God Ghetis' Dragon gave me hell. I had to use over 15 Full Restores, 4 Revives and I had to rely on my poor dark alligator to take the hits while the burn I put on the dragon did it's work. Finished it off with Remishara.

The ending was amazing though. I totally did not expect that.

This is the first time you don't officially fight the champion for the ending. Great GREAT SUPERB ENDING!

I'd say it's the best ending so far! Now to explore the rest of Unova! I would say more but I'm not going to spoil the ending for ya'll. You'll love it though. Best Scene ever!

Do you have a Cottonee Arisik? If not will you trade one for a baby Oshawoot!

There isn't much point for the game, but for competitive battling, I find it as mandatory. You'll want every single stat boost you can get your hands on.

I'll see what I can do. Is it just me or is the "high-leveled" pokemon in the new areas a little weak for their levels? They don't seem to be giving my high 40's low 50 pokemon any issues and they are 10-15 levels higher.

My copy of Pokemanz just arrived at Hazelwood Misery. It was originally at New Jersey, and that's 1000+ miles... So it traveled about 240 miles per day assuming that it was on a constant move. Hazelwood is technically part of of St. louis, Misery, and is in North County. It's about 25 miles from where I'm at.

Assuming that it's still on a constant move, it should take about a tenth of a day for it to reach my house. Earliest estimated delivery date is March 11, however. The latest is March 19th...

I hate you math. Don't make me do such stupid things in the morning... not to mention that it's likely that my math is wrong. And it's probably going to sit in Hazelwood for a while before it starts moving...

You can still have one. Like I said, I got 1211 baby Oshawotts, and while I prefer to get something in return, it's not really needed, since as I said earlier, it takes 1 minute for an egg to appear, and only 5 minutes to make the egg hatch, and once I get a Litwik with the Flame Body ability, I can pop out a new Oshawott every 3 minutes, give or take.

Of course, I chose the Plume Fossil when I got to the Desert Resort, which gave me Archen, meaning I gave up on Tirtouga, though I was stupid and forgot to save before I claimed my Archen, meaning that I'll have to wait until I get my Ditto over from HeartGold, and that won't be until the end of March/early April when my 3DS arrives, or I find my phat DS, which ever comes first.

But really Kaz, just go catch any random Pokemon that you don't really care about, and use that as trade fodder to get yourself a baby Oshawott.

This is exactly what I thought, N and Zekrom were pushovers compared to that underleveled dragon. I was pretty much being trololoed by his dragon.

His dragon is good if you don't have something as hax like that pokemon.

I only had my level 48-51 Reshiram, Krookodile,Serperior, Victini, Carracosta, and Vanilluxe.

That dragon pretty much one KO'ed most of them and I had to let Krookodile take all the hits while I tried to rez my other team members. Eventually I managed to spam enough full restores and the dragon ran out of enough steam for my Reshiram to take it down.

His Dragon is Dragon/Fire. His dragon also has Fire Blast(Fire),Focus Blast(Fighting),some powerful water move, and the other one isn't a problem. It's his water, fire, and fighting move you have to worry about cause that's what did the job of wiping out most of my team who unfournatly are a bit vulnerable to those 3 moves.

One hit with Fire Blast and your ice pokemon is melted :S

Btw, Pokemon White/Black has the most bloody epic music that my ears have had the distinct pleasure of listening to. *adds them to my mp3*

My fav themes are N's Castle, Reshiram/Zekrom Theme, and Team Plasma's Battle Theme. However N's Battle themes are also good as are the Elite Four and Gym Leaders.

Still no where close to an acceptable level to even consider the Elite Four as they be level 70+. I think I'll wait until I can transfer my Johto/Kanto and Sinnoh Pokemon. I'm sorta ticked off right now. My brother gave away his DS to a friend months earlier, and I can't just ask for it back since the game came out recently and that friend's probably playing it at the moment. I have no idea where the hell my old crusty DS went either. That means not only do I not have my Zoroark yet, but I also don't have my original team and have to feign with my current guys.

Not like I have a problem with it considering how fun I find the new pokemon to be, just that training is going to take a long time considering I'm picking off wild pokemon until all my guys hit a high enough level to fight against the new more powerful trainers.

Victini is a huge part of my party right now, though. Didn't spend too much time catching pokemon before gyms (just looked up the weak elements on bulbapedia then rushed in), and I kept getting beat up by the Castelia gym leader before I brought out Victini (whose name is Pringle, on a whim), and then it was a breeze.

It's nice to have a fire type to cover up for my Snivy. I have a frillish from the Cat, which turned out to be extremely helpful too. I swap out the other pokemon sometimes before gyms, if I can find the best element beforehand and train it up a bit.

Training up 4 pokes evenly without Audino spamming is a pain, though. Audino spamming is so slow for me :\ in the time that it takes to run around enough for a shaking spot, I could've OHKO'd a few other pokemon and gotten much more exp.

It just so happens I have Virizion, which tanked all five of his dragon's fire blast, but it didn;t outspeed it because it had a special defense nature(and was level 51 at the time and lack of EV training) but either way we won mins after my last post about being trolled.

EV are Effort Values. They're numbers for each stat given to each enemy pokemon, and when said enemy pokemon is defeated, it gives the pokemon that participated in the battle with it EVs. You can say that for every 4 EVs given to a pokemon in a certain stat, that stay 'levels up'. The max amount of EVs in a stat is 255. Max amount of EVs a pokemon is allowed to have is 510. EVs are not given when battling other players. There are items that can increase a pokemon's EV by 10 to a stat depending on the kind of item. There are also items that work in reverse.

Frankly I always go D'AWWW when I see it's cute little ears move and that happy dance he does too! I named mine Lucky*Star and his ability is Victory Star which is very fitting.

Though, I did replace my Purrloin because it ended up having a 3 in it's Attack IV. Was qqing the entire time with it's inability to do more damage than Audino with a two-hit doubleslap.

You know. I'm thouroughly convinced that Victini is the only way I can catch those Legendaries. Everytime I throw several pokeballs with my Reshiram after using them to get their health down if it's a legendary I then switched to Victini and throw an ultra ball and finally catch it >.>

That and after a few turns of burning taking effect also helps I suppose.

Critical balls have an amazingly high chance to capture the pokemon, but it isn't guaranteed. You can tell if you got a critical or not if it stops in midair middle throw.

Anyway, now that I just grabbed a Minccino, it's fine to me. It's absurdly fast, so it should get the first turn for most enemies. Just wait until the AI does a non-damaging move such as Focus Energy, and use Encore. Said enemy will pretty much be stuck using the move as long as you have enough PP and Mincinno is definitely faster than it. Though, you might not want to use it if the enemy is using a defence buff move.

Oh there is one thing that I love about Gen V. Infinite TM's! TM's now act like HM's and can be used over and over again without them ever going away!

Insanely useful for catching legendaries and other tricky pokemon to catch. Just forget some moves to make room for things like thunder wave or hypnosis or false swipe and when you got that pokemon. Use a TM with the old move you had and boom. Rinse and Repeat. Just utilized it with my Victini on replacing Physic with Flash and Will O' Wisp with a weak move to catch a legendary and now his moves are back to normal :D

One of my nephews , nephew Z, always catches legendaries in pokeballs; sometimes at full health too. It makes me so frustrated sometimes. How does he do it? The only reason he uses pokeballs is cause he uses all his money on recovery items and refuses to buy other balls. He's also only been playing since the D/P gen and has caught 3 shinies. Why are some people just born lucky?
