Server cannot be reached...sorta

Ok, so I just got randomly disconnected from the game about half an hour ago...and I can log back in to character select, but I get a "server cannot be reached" error if I try to log in to my main or my Ruairi alt. My other five characters can all log in fine...I didn't try pets but I'm betting they'd work too.

Coincidentally, my main and Ruairi alt both share the same name, which is the only connection I can see as to why neither of them can log in (I obviously wasn't logged in to both at the same time, yet they're the only two of my seven characters with issues).

Anybody have an idea as to what might've happened here? I was just chopping wood. x_x

I have no idea what happened but a similar thing happened to me a bit ago where I suddenly got d\c'd and wasn't able to log into a specific character.

I never was able to find a resolution, in the end the log-in server crashed and the resulting maint fixed my problem. My thread is still on this page if you want to try out some of those suggestions, I think Kenero's suggestion to change password, clearing residual log-in information that might be left on the server might be the most hopeful suggestion.

I wish you the best luck with getting back on, having had this issue before myself.

Hm...yeah, I kept reading after I posted this and stumbled across that thread. I'm kinda wondering though if I can look a little deeper into this issue now though, seeing as I'm not locked out of just one character, but two characters that share the same name on different servers. I guess it would have something to do with simply the name? Since the two characters share pretty much nothing else in common other than being on the same account. But why the random disconnect out of nowhere?

I also tried most of those suggestions, and logging in on another computer also ran into the same problem. I guess, looking at your experience though, there's nothing to do but wait for a maintenance and hope for the best...and I was supposed to rebirth today ;_;
