Hey i got off my lazy ass! Yay! Anyway allow me to begin this guide on homestead. First things first allow me to introduce you to my lovely elfu Darkphase.
Note: Yes i know the pictures are in korean. I will update them later when im unlazy/NA releases G14)

Intro:

Homesteads allow you to own your very own piece of land. The best part about it: It's absolutely free! No service required or anything. With it you can grow and build various things. Most of them will be for show but there are quite alot of items that can help you as the player out. From Anvils to Herbs there is no reason for anyone to not build a homestead (besides being lazy! lol)
How to Create a Homestead:
In order to obtain an homestead you will need a permit:
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa251/jointhemadness/Farming/FarmingTicket.png
How do you obtain this wonderful permit? Luckily Nao will present you with one upon logging in when G14 releases! (You must be at least level 10, thanks to Caim for pointing that out) Along with the permit you will be given a quest to create the homestead. The reward for that quest will be 1 pickaxe and 3 strawberry seed packs. We shall get to more detail about that later.
In order to create the Farm you will need to access the new farm tab (it will appear to the right of the Actions tab at the bottom of your screen, gaining the default hotkey of A). From there simply click create homestead:
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa251/jointhemadness/Farming/Create.png
From there you will be given the chose to own land in one of the three areas: Uladh, Connous, or Vales. The selection will not change the grow able crops, but there are a few items that can only be built in certain Homestead locations (You can make snowmen in vales). Also note that if you have a homestead in vales the weather in vales affects the homestead (I.E. You would gain more herbs if you picked them while it is snowing at vales).
Note: You can refer to the list of growable items from mabinogi wiki to compare and contrast. The link to it is here. (http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/index.php?title=Homestead#Objects_that_can_be_buil t.2Fgrown)

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa251/jointhemadness/Farming/Vales.png
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa251/jointhemadness/Farming/Uhada.png
Once you pick your area you will be prompted to create a name for the homestead. It can contain up to 20 characters and only takes letters, numbers, and spaces.

Congrats on making your new homestead! Now it's time to work on it~<3

First Few Days of Homestead:
Day 1:
Alright post 2! In the previous post we covered creating a homestead, and now with one created it's high time to enter it. Once you enter it you will be greeted by blatt, who will show you around your land, and the homestead ore you can collect from the deposit. First things first. Grab a pickaxe (if you completed the quest you will have a free one in your hands and let's get to mining!
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa251/jointhemadness/Farming/Gathering.png
The ore deposit gives out ores on a daily basis, and only will regenerate at midnight (pst for our server). You will gain a total of five ores per day, unless you are a service user or an event is going on right now. Luckily you can lucky and huge lucky gather the deposit for massive ores!
(Note: Anyone know how much service users will obtain per day? That info would help quite a bit thanks~<3)
Now that the ores are taken care of, let us begin to work on our little plot of land. First off Take a good notice to your top left. There are two buttons just below your F keys. The top one is for modifying built items, and the one below it is for the building menu. Since we do not have anything that is already built (you can move around the ore deposit and warp, but more on that later) we will just have to build something~
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa251/jointhemadness/Farming/BuildMenu.png
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa251/jointhemadness/Farming/Placing.png
At level 1 Homestead you can only build one thing, a Home (Tent lol). It costs 5 Homestead Ore and will take 10 seconds to complete. When you select create for any item you must place it in a free location. Anything in the area of that item you are creating, including you yourself will prevent it from being built. In addition you can use Page Up and Page Down to rotate the item clock and counterclockwise.
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa251/jointhemadness/Farming/Level2.png
Upon completion of a building or crops being harvest the player will gain chicks, which is basically exp for homesteads. That one home you build will net you 50 chicks, which is enough to level you up to level 2! With level 2 you will get to watch a nice cut scene, and be rewarded with increased land! As you continue to work on your land you will gain more and more space:
Level 1 - 9x9 Space
Level 2 - 17x17 Space
Level 4 - 25x25 Space
Level 10 - 33x33 Space
At this point you used up all of your homestead ore to create your new tent-home, so you are pretty much done for the day. Also note that you cannot enter your new home, even if it looks cozy enough (boo...).
If you would take note to the upper left, the top button there is for map editing. Once you click it you will enter map editing mode and be able to modify the items around you.

The only difference is a few growables (Vales get snowmen where you can get tons of snowballs from, but cannot grow apple trees for apples and whatnot), but I'll just refer to the wiki list for now, it's a bit easier that way lol -half lazy-

Physis can have Snowfield Apple Trees.
Physis is the only area that actually has an item advantage of Snowballs.
Also, a word about naming your Homestead: it works like when you name your Family. You cannot have two or more Homesteads of the same name, but it doesn't share the same naming capacity as characters/pets. Meaning, for example, you can name your Homestead after yourself, somebody, etc.

I think they meant that snow in Vales/Physis works exactly like rain in Uladh/Connous as far as production/gathering goes. Some people might not know that since...well, it's not rain. XD

sucks but houses are cosmetic only. That and they're worth 50 chicks (tent), 1k chicks (house), and 3k chicks (mansion) and great for leveling up XD

This. Also it makes vales the -worse- place for a farm since as far as I know I believe there are no thunderstorms in vales, meaning at most you will get 8 herbs while the other areas with thunderstorms will get 9-10.

Herro, I know this might just be the Nexon NA staffs' ignorance, but I believe they said that the size of house you have alters the amount of people you can have visit at once. Just wondering if this is true or not.
I think it would be nice if you elaborated on the visiting aspect of the homestead. Like how to make it private and whatnot.

Question!
You can farm on your homestead (which is why there's seeds and whatnot). So is farming as tedious as it is for the Taill farms? Or do you wait that 1h (or more) and then it's harvest-able? How much of the crop do you get and can it be sold to that Farming guy in Taill just like normal, or is there penalties in gold for being a Homestead crop, etc?

I'm guessing no since you visit it by clicking on people? :o

Nope, not tedious like Taill farms. Just plant and harvest when they're done.
Though, I'm only going on the one harvest of strawberries I got today. XD

Got a question that maybe someone can answer...
For the furnaces, is it unlimited time of use or after a certain amount of refining it goes away?
That same questions applies with the chopping block.

Yes, i was wondering that too cause if it has an unlimited amount of uses, then getting R1 carpentry just became possible for me...

Just plant, wait, and harvest. No maintenance. But no, you can't turn them in for gold. These crops are for leveling your homestead.

To answer my own question and to maybe answer those waiting for the question. Any fish apparently works for the paint.
Also I would like to mention that the best setup for 'grinding' your plot of land to level 11 would be (this assumes 10 homestead a day, not counting this current event dropping stones from monsters or luck/huge luckies)
Day 1:
Level 1:
-Tent (5 stones)
Level 2:
-x1 field (2 stones)
-x1 strawberry crop (3 stones)
Day 2:
Level 3:
-x2 field (4 stones)
-x2 tomato crops (6 stones)
Day 3 and on:
-x3 tomato/eggplant/cabbage/pumpkin crops depending on homestead level (9 stones)
-x5 Prairie Grass / Shrub tree / Cactus
-Well (Build-able at Level 3 Homestead)
-Light wagon (Build-able at Level 7 Homestead)
-Wagon (Build-able at Level 9 Homestead)
Summary:
Get a ton of homestead owners and gather at someone's home. Put a campfire down and eat Muffin of Luck. Put on a luck set. Luck/Huge Lucky works for homestead ore.
Start the first two days should build x3 field and a tent
A field has unlimited uses, you don't need to build another field to plant crops again
1 crop is 3 stones, x3 crops = 9 stones, leaving you with 1 spare homestead stone a day if you did not get a lucky/huge lucky while mining stones. If you put down x3 fields, then you can take care of all 3 fields at once, leaving you to do other things in mabinogi instead of tending to the crops all day.
The leftover stone a day you should save up for light wagon/wagon, well and 5 Prairie Grass / Shrub tree / Cactus. Wagon gives additional kon per crop (+80 points to pumpkin crop, haven't tested if it stacks with more wagon). Well decreases time to the crop, its not a big impact though. Prairie Grass / Shrub tree / Cactus give 6 kon a day but only stacks up to 5 (30 kon a day). Some of this will be updated when I test it more.
Lay out the 3 field crops perpendicular to each other and play music while standing in between all of them. It can hit all three plants, so you can get all three fields to like your music and speed up the growth. See the mini layout in text below (I'll add a picture when I get home).
(Field) (Field)
(Field) (You)
Do NOT build a house early on. The reasoning behind this is a home costs 30 homestead stones and only gives 1000 kon points. 30 homestead stones can make x10 crops which gives a range of 2000-2800 kon points without a light wagon or wagon. Thats enough points to get your homestead to level 0 to 5 with only around 1000 more kon points to level 5. Build a home once you are finished with leveling your homestead to 11 first. Then you can use those homestead stones for whatever you want.

I'd skip on the well. Doesn't seem too useful to me since you don't really have a time limit for anything.
But yes, x5 Shrubs/Prairie Grass and the Wagons are quite useful.
Also, what about those ornaments that give 2 Chick per day? Do they stack separately from the 30 Chick limit or are they included?
Ayamo

All production tools should have unlimited uses.
Chopping block gets exhausted similar to chopping the blocks in dugald. A guildie found out the hard way. It does get refreshed and putting down a Fir tree gives a slight bonus to drop rate and maybe quality. I don't believe it stacks since Japanese Cedar Tree does not stack with other production skills that it boosts. I'm assuming that the Low-Grade Cuilin Stone and Wild Honey is similar, but haven't tested it or seen it in use yet.
Herb patches refreshes once a day.I think Round Cuilin Stone might be the same, but again haven't tested yet.

Haven't tested yet, I can give it a shot tonight. This event makes it easier to test alot of these stuff before we get limited to 10 stones a day (not counting luckies). Oh and I huge lucky-ed earlier and got around 20 homestead stones. :cryno:

When I mean unlimited, I mean it doesn't run out in that you have to build another one. Of course all material props refresh after a certain amount of time has passed (some longer than others, herbs being a focused case here).
Usually why I see 2 or more Round Cuilin Stones about in a Homestead, in case one dries.

I have a question; why does everything outside of your homestead look all burned and ruined and stuff? I mean, in Uladh, I would think it would have green there but it's all black and stuff. Is that like that for ever? Does it change when it's a higher level?

Wait what? that should be 42 you said there (5*6 + 6*2).
I noticed that my construction list that some of the ornaments are 'grayed' out for me, so it looks like their 'buff' doesn't work. I only put down 5 bushes and 4 chrysanthemu. My guess is the small plants cap isn't 5 or there's a limit to how much kon per day you can get outside of farming and building.

Typo'd. It should be 5*2 for the second.
You can definitely plant more, but as far as I know, 5 is the limit for each as far as which ones will give credit.

how's the best way to level your homestead from 7-10
because that homestead event is going on you can only get 10 stones a day
Osayidan

Yeah even with the event I may as well have only been getting 10 stones per day. Can only plant 3 crops per day which is very slow to get from 7 - 10. Just got to 7 right now. I want to get to 10 to get it over with so I can focus on building the things I want instead of getting my 33x33 land size.
I still can get 10 homestead stones without the premium service even if the event is not here anymore.

Build 4 fields and every 3 days you'll be able to plant 1 extra crop since its 3 for each crop and you get 10 stones a day so you can plant up to 3 crops with 1 left over. Do this for 3 days and you'll have 3 left over.
Not the fastest way but i do this and it helps just a little bit =P

40 Pumpkin seed packets
43 Cabage seed packets
._.

I saw some posts about wagons being totally nerfed since the last patch. Is it a screw up(like all the other bugs that came with that patch) or for real? Even if it's not a screw up it seems annoying to invest in wagons that will do nothing after 1 level (9 -> 10), assuming you stop at 10 to build the stuff that matters on your large land.

i think its a part of the glitch.. like with the Firehorse noise/Iron ingots and hp/mp/sp 50's...
Not 100% sure yet
