Little Big Planet - beautiful visually and you never run out of stuff to do thanks to the huge community.
Assassin's creed 2 - A whole lot of fun, especially if you're a history nerd.. cough cough.
MGS 4 - Takes some getting used to and is quite challenging at first but definitely worth it.
CoD: WaW - Killer game all around. I still prefer it over other COD games ._.
Battlefield 1942 - Great quick and painless online multiplayer. For XBOX 360 as well.

360:
-Eternal Sonata. Good for ONE playthrough, beautiful art and delightful music. The story is not the big thing and there's little diversity in enemy designs, but a fun game.

-Lost Odyssey. This one is hit or miss, from Final fantasy's father it's a good RPG with a nice story, likeable characters and nice graphics. It has some mini-stories called a Thousand years of dreams wich are memories from the main character(s), these are written by some japanese best seller author (forgot the name, my apologies) and some are real terajerkers, they're very emotional.

Audition Online Dance Battle (4/5) I love rythmn (sp?) game even if I fail hard at it.

White Knight Chronicle (4/5) People might hate it, but in my opinion it got a decent online play. The ending was a total disappointing but at least we know we're getting a sequel.
Demon's Soul (4/5) Difficult, but fun game. Get less difficult once you get the hang of it. Still very fun in my opinion.

Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey (4/5) Very fun game, can be quite annoying at some time, and really addicting too.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. If you're a Kingdom Hearts fan this game will completely blow the others out of the water. I imported it when it first released and completed everything 100% through.
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus. In my honest opinion, Guilty Gear is and always will be better than Blazblue.

But if I'm not mistaken, doesn't the PS3 version have to be imported? Last I heard, they haven't released a PS3 version for the US yet. The same thing happened with Symphonia. It was on the GameCube, but Bandai decided to port it to the PS2 as an extended version, but never brought it over to the US.

I just finished The World Ends With You, and RPG on the DS, and I have to say that I would so recommend this game to others.
The controls take some getting used to (controlling 2 people at once on two different screens) but there's always Easy Mode and Auto Mode (which controls the top screen).

The storyline is really good, and the combat is neat.
Very dissimilar to any other RPG I've even played, in a good way.

Hmmm, I have a recommendation for the list (Not adding in games).

Wouldn't it make more sense to sort the games out by genre (Such as RTS, RPG, TBS, etc.) than by what system they're for, and including what system they're for next to the name? Then that would give people a more general idea of what the gameplay is like.

I liked visual novels before this game.

But i REALLY loved this game.


The story drew me in, you felt connected to the characters and their individual stories, and the ending and the reason for what they're all going through was just the wonderful icing and toppings on the delicious cake that is Nine Hours, Nine Person, Nine Days. Playing through the game to get the multiple endings really built up to your final playthrough to get the final True Ending and unravel almost all the mysteries of the story.

I'd definitely recommend this DS game, it was so good, to me.

The DS version is REALLY good, and it improved a lot on FFIII's graphics, music, battle system, etc. Less grinding, more spoony bards!

Otherwise, I got nothing else to recommend. If you're gonna play Audition though, DON'T DON'T DON'T play the American server. It's now officially the least updated, the GMs [there's like 4 of 'em?] aren't smart enough to patch hacks, the indefinite items cost 2x more than all the other servers, and we get almost no content. Play SEA, or kAU if you can get your hands on an account.

It's been a while since I've played a nice solid RPG like this.

Plus it has that experience distribution method that i like.

Monster exp = party exp.
Heck, even reserve party members still get some exp.


The story is pretty good.


But it's kinda like this.

Oh something happened, we need to do (A).

Oh no! We're trapped we can't do (A) yet! Let's do (B).

What!? (B) can't be done yet until we get item (b)! Let's go do (C).

YES WE BEAT THE EVIL POWER SO NOW WE CAN FINALLY STOP (Z)! .... Hey now that we're done with that... let's do (A) and return home...

Lol, let's just say I'm looking forward to a sequel of this sequel.

The story was interesting and the gameplay was neat. The special moves and spells were flashy and useful.

There's a summoning system in this one. And the class system is really flexible and neat.

I never played the original Golden Sun, but thanks to the encyclopedia you don't miss much at all. It explains most everything.
My one complaint is...
There is missable stuff.
You won't miss them if you look hard enough, but I missed, i think, 3 "Djinns" which are used in summoning (and combinations of equipped Djinns determine character classes and special skills).



Overall, I'd really recommend this game. :D It's been a little while since I've played a nice solid RPG on the DS (not counting pokemon lol~).


Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story was incredibly fun too, but it's been a while since I've played it. But I loved that one too. xD

Also, for those of you that still have a GBA/DS Lite, Demikids: Dark/Light version is good. [IMO Dark is better] It's a part/spin-off/??? of Shin Megami Tensei, it has all of the elements of the game, just a different name and a lighter take on it. Good story, challenging gameplay [keeps you engaged at least, not FFIII DS hard, but not Pokemon easy], and enough features and demons to keep you going for at least 60 hours. Got it for Christmas like 5 years ago, absolutely love the game.

The story was so good! You'll really get attached to each character and their stories.

My gosh! How they intertwine with each other to form one large picture was spectacular!

It's a puzzle game, and you really have to use your brain a lot, especially for some of the puzzles where the answer isn't plain to see, at all.


I'd give this game a 9.5/10 (because nothing's perfect).
The music in this game is also good, fits the moods of the game very well.

The conclusion of the story was what sealed everything up in a wonderful package.
The plot twists and turn of events will keep you guessing, "What's the truth" and, "What's the villain's motive?".


I'd recommend this game SO hard.

Don't know if I put these on but Mass effect and Mass effect 2. (If you have a PS3 only then you can't play the first one, but you do get a bastardize version of a comic of Mass effect.)
Dragon Age is also a game I would recommend.
Infamous and Demon Souls are a nice pick though I'm not sure if Demon Soul still have online play anymore. Oh and God of War III, surprisingly for a game who premise is being a total bad ass, the ending is kind of heartwarming in a sense.

E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy!
Been replaying this baby this weekend, it's really epic.
You play as an E.Y.E agent, they are cyborg kind-of thing soldiers of the Secreta organization, Adam Jensen is a fucking pussy compared to an E.Y.E agent.
Anyway, the whole lore is pretty interesting, eerie, and mysterious like. Highly replayable too IMO, each character build can have really different ways of going through things.
You can go PSI-powers oriented, tech-powers, hacker (hacking is quite unique here, since everyone is pretty much covered in cybernetic implants you can hack into their cyberbrains and mess them up or control them), stealthy melee dude or whatever.
The game is only 10 bucks too, extremely worth it.

They're using a TS3 plug in for the radio voices if you were wondering. They're also using a mod called Advanced Combat Environment 2, which increases the "simulator" aspect by a fair bit.
