It's not that bad though. You can sell the herbs you don't need and buy the white herbs with the extra money.
Better still, trade golden herbs for white herbs with a R9+ potion maker. The need for golden herbs is larger than white herbs after Rank A for potion making.
After all, the main point of the clover pets are that they are overall good for everything if you are a potion maker.
