I don't remember that well, honestly. But it seemed everyone I saw was either a mage or a warrior, acrobats a close third.

Sword master opens up more paths for combos

Honestly, how do they pick? Just randomly? I never get accepted into any CBs by nexon e.e I tried for mabi,Vindi and now this one.

I have about 15 pets, ive rebirthed with premium cards about 20 times (mostly those special holiday cards i used to thoughtlessly buy then stuff the outfit in a pet for months) Ive bought supplies and premium looks on vindictus. Ive spent so much money on clothes and hair for my maplestory character. For the short time i played DFO i spent quite a bit of money buying premium clothes and hair. Ive also bought nx as gifts for friends that cant afford nx. Ive counted all my cards ive ever bought (Yes i keep them, lol) and they total up to about $800 since ive started playing........

The thing is I wanted to be a Force User if I ever played Dragon Nest at all, and it just turned me down when Sorceress wasn't as fun as I'd thought she'd be. I'll probably try another class in one of the other betas since it seems pointless to go so far if they're just wiping it anyways.

But the new players had the chance to start at the same time as the high level players. In CB, only a select amount of people can get in, which makes it unfair to not wipe it.

Often enough there will be a wipe of characters at the end of Closed Beta... When Open Beta starts they will very unlikely do a wipe but I have seen a mmorpg do so in the past after a open beta.. sadly... though ide say less then 1% do this...

It depends, is Vindictus in Closed or Open beta?

What I'm saying is that, in Closed Beta, only a few selected people get the chance to play the game first.
Yes they do contribute and sometimes get a reward for it, but they always wipe on CB.

Wiping on OB is very rare, I probably only seen two games doing that (MU Online and some other I forgot).

So if any of you happen to be DN veterans (from other servers, etc.), it'd be nice if you could maybe help us out and give some insight for the wiki. If you mean literally see the download, then it was an extra tab on the site that showed up when you signed in on a CB account.

It's pretty fun, but with the level cap and the lack of job advancements and PvP, the CB test barely scratched the surface with what the game has to offer. Definitely too soon to make a well-informed opinion. I will say, though, the NPC dialogue is actually quite humorous and I find myself wanting to read what they have to say. It's just a small thing, but it's a sign of a good localization. As far as the rest of the game goes, I'd actually say it's more like Lunia than Vindictus.

Question question question. The ob events thing. Event 4, "Spread Your Wings", the loyal dragon wings. Anyone know what those look like? Got any screenshots? They sound super awesome simply because they're permanent and dragon wings and I'll probably roll around in them being happy, and I'd like to see them. All I know about them is that they give a movement speed boost.

So for those who were interested and didn't see, the Q&A covered the following:

- Open Beta will have secondary classes available
- Right after Open Beta will be official launch (as in the day after, as the commentator said)

Acrobat is fun but dangerous and i hear you dont get raid invites alot
Bowmasters are full of dps but its just as dangerous as acrobats when you have no way of self defense and longbows are likely to be expensive

Plan to play the sorceress.

it's basically a generic style 3D MMORPG with 4 classes who branch out into 8 subclasses
You have quests and dungeons
the dungeons are instanced so its like Vindictus.
The combat is real time so you have to be actively moving and using skills

4 Classes/characters are warriors, sorceress, archers, and clerics

Warriors have melee attacks and use physical attack and crit

Sorceress tips
1. Max Blink, Aerial Evasion, and Escape because you're gonna be fragile
2. Put one point in counter spell as a wakeup attack

General tip
1. Focus on one tree, leftover points should be saved for class advancement
2. Do not try to make everything. Max whatever scales well.

Supposedly, as indicated from a very reliable source that works for Nexon, yes.
It still is a good risk to take, since if anything you just download the OB client anyway.

the cat would say either Paladins, Elementalists, Sharpshooters, Priests (healing durr. it's the only reason you would get accepted into parties) and Mystiqs.

Paladins: Tank, absorbs dmg.
Priests: heal while providing either damage or utility relics
Elementalists: Freeze enemies for survival and super burn dmg with fire
Mystiq: Huge AoE dmg and Time skills that support the party
Sharpshooters: They do so much dmg.

Instead trying to correct this issue or even make an apology, they make stupid jokes about their servers. "LOL HAMSTER POWER" doesn't sound like they even care.

Releasing OB is not the same as releasing a patch. Patches may have to be rushed. However, it's like they forgot to do this until the night before.

If this was the only occurrence it wouldn't matter. However Nexon has repeatedly failed in keeping their game up and meeting their given times. For all Nexon games, unscheduled maintenances (often 2 hours+) are not uncommon and even then they are often extended an extra hour or two. In the past Nexon managed to let a Mabinogi server crash for 30+ hours and even left Alexina to be completely unplayable. In response to the "memory leaks" of Mabinogi servers, they put up a video where they laughed at the situation and then said "Well we released so many updates but I guess some people will never be happy." It would be great if everyone flipped out and called Nexon out on their bull **** because they continue to let their servers die. After each crash people just forget or say things like "It's a free game." Instead of joking about this repeated issue I want to see some acknowledgement or a serious response. Even though Riot games is notorious for letting their servers die on patch days, at least they own up to it and provide time stamped information about the ongoing issues. They learned from their mistake two weeks ago (let a server crash for a day) and delayed the champion release so that the servers can be opened on time (and they did).

I was at least hopeful that DragonNest would get so much attention from Nexon that the servers would be great, but apparently that's not the case.

Took me 15 min to download, sometimes it shuffled around from 30min to an hour. But it beats patching the CB version (incase everyone else is patching CB files) So while they delay the game, I suggest dling the V05 (IF you have good connection \o/)

I can tell it's only happening to my monitor and has to do with the game, since I can still hear people in skype and I can't hear the game anymore.

I suspect it may be a problem with my display drivers, so I'm going to try seeing if I've missed any updates for them. In the mean time, is anyone else experiencing similar problems?
Edit : As i suspected, my drivers aren't up to date. I suppose I'll update them right now and see if I experience problems again.

Alright, now I definitely know it's a problem. Even after updating my graphic drivers to the latest version, I still got the problem where my monitor goes into standby on me, but this time the audio for the game got messed up, so I may safely assume that the game crashed along with it.

Edit : When I started up Dragon Nest again, it gave an error saying that my Computer could not run the game, and that I needed at least 1gb of RAM to play it. It started the game up anyway. I immediately exited the game, and checked the system's RAM myself in multiple programs, and it came out positive for me have 2gb of RAM. What's going on here?

Well I'm still getting the same problem as before, but this time I've noticed that the message that shows up before starting the game doesn't say that I don't have at least 1 gb of RAM, rather that I don't have at least 1gb of Free RAM. Not sure what that means, nor how to fix it. The only thing I had running the entire time I've been having this problem was Dragon Nest and Internet Explorer (for the Nexon page).

Eh, if it's RAM issues then I probably won't keep having the problem for long since I just ordered more RAM a few days ago. Hope it comes soon :/

Just note, when using Charged Shot, you will be hit a ton. The damage payout is gratifying though. Not to mention only a 15 second cooldown. I think I'll run Artillery in the future, I heard they're better in PvP over snipers because of their cooldowns.

Yes. At level 15, you get a quest from Irine after you take your job advancement test. It will provide you with a new NX costume and a skill reset.
