I'd guess level 24 takes a lot of no-lifing, but 3 dungeons a day isn't hard at all(like 30 minutes if you do dungeons of your level).

These events look like theyll take a week of no lifing, but im ready for it. I plan to get at least my sorceress to 24 by the end of open beta. I'm going to plan ahead to make sure that i dont need to leave my room for a week, lol.

Well you can't really compare it to Vindictus, because it wasn't made to be like vindictus. Some people may say its like vindictus, but people try to compare every game that ever comes out. The special thing about the game is mostly the combat system, i can't really explain it so youd have to look up a video if you haven't already seen it. Also the anime feel of the game is probably very attracting to some people. And from what you said in your first post, everything shouldnt be compared to Vindictus, its not the game that all games should be compared to. They are all different and have different things that make them special. If you still don't seem convinced to play this game, then thats perfectly fine, i just dont want you to rate all games as a step up from vindictus or a step down from vindictus :)

I didn't get the cb title either because for some reason DN would crash on various load screens at various times. T_T Mostly at the beginning or middle of a dungeon. Freak thing.

I don't really care about the cb title so much as the ob wings though. DX

The reason I'm comparing it to Vindictus is because I have seen videos of it, and it does seem quite a bit like Vindictus. I'm planning to give it a shot because it's so popular, but if we just pretended Vindictus had anime graphics and new skills for a moment, it's easy to see how they seem very similar.

This isn't like Asian-style MMORPG's where there's a million of them out there and they're all basically the same. Games with this style are rare and comparisons between them are unavoidable. I'm betting there are less than a dozen similar games, and maybe half of them are even known by more than a small group. Yes, there are action games, but how many of them are online, in full 3D and feature this general combat system? Not many.

I completely understand that it's its own game. That's not what I'm saying at all.

Combat system is more like WoW than Vindi.

However, it's not so open-world like WoW, the dungeon level loading screens thing is like Vindi.

Thats your opinion and im not going to try and tell you to change it, because that would be silly. But if you pretend that vindictus was anime like and had more skills like dragon nest, then thats not really making them similar, because Vindictus doesnt have those things. Even the fighting system is different in my opinion. In vindictus you chain together normal attacks to use a smash, with a few other skills that can be used on their own like sp skills and sprint smashes etc., and an evie uses magic arrows and has a charge system to fire off spells. In dragon nest, it's basically like a fps type of game. You aim your attacks and spells with the cursor in the middle of the screen and have a wide variety of skills that can be used on their own or chained into each other. Yes you can say that they have some similarities, but in my opinion, they are slight. The same kind of slight similarities you could find between any two games.

I play staff Evie in Vindictus and 99% of my time involves spamming magic spells from a bit of a distance.

So yeah, that's probably where it comes from.
