lol, yeah right. The longest I've slept was back before I was even 20. I had insomnia back then pretty bad for a couple years, and I'd end up staying up for weeks at a time. You can imagine the result when I could finally fall asleep...

I use to take really brief naps all throughout the day, after staying up for so long it felt like I was dreaming while being completely awake.
People thought I was on drugs...wait I'm having a deja vu feeling.
We've all discussed this before.

Calling me a liar?
Try it yourself. Even without insomnia, it goes a little like this: Once you get tired, you'll get extremely tired. Once this extreme tiredness passes (which is what, around the 2 day mark?), you no longer feel tired at all. You don't feel rested, but you don't feel tired. It's like some kind of limbo in between the two. Almost a kind of zombie-like "meh" feeling.
After about 3 days, you start to feel a bit high. Some people start hallucinating around this point. I didn't start hallucinating until around the 5 day mark.
Speaking of which, if you want to feel "high" and get really "messed up" - just stay awake for about 3-5 days. Though, staying awake for so long really isn't healthy for you.
The hallucinations start out pretty small and random. Like if you're driving, you might see someone or something standing in the middle of the road and it scares the everliving **** out of you. As you progress further without sleep though, it gets worse. At one point, there were gremlins in my car.
And anyways, if you want to call me a liar then that's on you. The **** happened, and it sucked. It sucked bad.
The only thing that helped was extreme exercise to the point of passing out (beyond the point of throwing up, your entire body feels like lead and you can barely move, barely think), and extremely vigorous sex. They didn't always work, but more times than not, they did. That was the only thing that really saved me during that period of my life. It took me several years before I figured that out.
I suppose my doing those two things to force myself to sleep may have had some role in wrestling my body into submission and returning to normal human sleep patterns. But really, I don't know. It just seemed to go away at random. It seemed like one day, I just realized that I had been sleeping normally for awhile, and I don't know why my body fixed itself. Maybe it was some hormonal thing or something, or stress or something going on in my life that caused it.
And... I say "weeks," but... the most was just a little over 2 weeks. Sometimes I'd pass out for days at that point, never having known I went to sleep. Other times I could just nod off for hours out of nowhere and never realize it had happened. Eventually though, it always hit pretty hard and I was out like a brick for a very long time.

Derp, uneducated people are uneducated.
I'd trade you because I was up at 3AM with a horribly stuffy nose, but when I sleep for more than 12 hours I can't function. ;_;
I walk around like a zombie and do random stuff and i'm all like "uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh".
TL;DR: I become like the people in TNN graveyard.
If I'm on a normal sleeping schedule and end up sleeping more than 12 hours, I usually feel sore and, oddly... sleepy.
I didn't last night though! I felt nice and well rested. Well, my arm was numb... But other than that, nice and well rested!

Types of insomnia
Insomnia can be classified as transient, acute, or chronic.
Transient insomnia lasts for less than a week. It can be caused by another disorder, by changes in the sleep environment, by the timing of sleep, severe depression, or by stress. Its consequences - sleepiness and impaired psychomotor performance - are similar to those of sleep deprivation.[9]
Acute insomnia is the inability to consistently sleep well for a period of less than a month.[10]
Chronic insomnia lasts for longer than a month. It can be caused by another disorder, or it can be a primary disorder. Its effects can vary according to its causes. They might include muscular fatigue, hallucinations, and/or mental fatigue. Some people that live with this disorder see things as if they are happening in slow motion, wherein moving objects seem to blend together. Can cause double vision.[9]
And just for your information, sleeping pills didn't work for me, either. All they did was make me feel sleepy, but I still couldn't sleep.
