Avatar Sizes

100x100, 75KB is rather small, as most avatars (On design forums) tend to be ~150x150, and 200KB (200Kb is small, and allows for a bit more detail in the animation).

Was just trying to convert a 200x150 ~3MB file to 100x100 75KB, and without completely degrading image quality its impossible. (Even with full degradation, its above 75KB).

The thing MOST avatars would fall outside the sizes specified, as its super tiny size.

Usually, if done right, it won't be degraded at all.

Its an animated gif; only option is to keep it as such.

If I were creating it from scratch, it wouldn't be that large an issue, however I have to use one thats already made, which limits how much I can edit the image.

GIMP can do that I think.....

If I had Paint Shop Pro still I would definitely do it.

boosted the file size a whole bunch for each user group level, can't remember what it was though but 2x or more I think. Still half asleep.
