Level 1-12: Do the main storyline using your empowerment stones. Skip the side quests. Do the dungeons on normal mode to reduce stones and time spent. Takes 1-2 hours.
Level 12-14. Now you do side quests. The most grindy part of open beta. Also do commission board quests.
lvl 14-16 Job advancement gives 85k exp. which is 45% of 15 which will help you a lot. Do temple of sleepers commisions until the masters one that is repeatable.
16 to 18: Do main storyline quest. If you use stones, then you'll definitely reach 18. Do it on normal mode to reduce stones and time spent. It'll take about 1-2 hours.
18 to 24: Do Astral Coven Labratory commisions until you reach the masters commision. This is repeatable which will jump you easily to 24. Party on masters until you can solo spider masters in 3-4 minutes. Eles should be able to solo within 2:50 to 3:40ish. Mystiqs in 2:40 or lower.
optional 22-24: Sanctuary Nexus commisions will give a lot of exp and good drops.
Good luck

Finishing all those quests is so hard to do in such little time @.@
And imo, 14~16 is biggest grind. No quests at all really.
Aaaaand, SM's can solo Astral masters in 2:40 and less starting at Lv21, 2:20 at Lv23. OP class makes OP grind 9000x more OP.

The funny thing is since this is OB I see people gloating about all their level 24 players. I'm like lol 24 isn't that hard. I guess this just proves that people will brag even if they have nothing to brag about.

At lvl 5 you might want 2 get +6 - +8 gear so u can breeze through all the low lvl dungeons.
Saves ALOT of time since you 1hko everything.
Quality of the gear doesn't matter till lvl 15+ish. You can go with white/green from lvl 5-10, but i highly recommend that you pick up greens at 15.
At lvl 16 you might want to attempt to get a +8 rare weapon/sub weapon but i don't recommend getting lvl 16 rare armor cuz upgrading them is a waste of crude onyx.
At lvl 23 switch over to +8 or higher greens and hunt for lvl 24 gear when you need them.

Um...levelling ain't that hard.
Experience:
-Make sure that you're never inside a dungeon without at least one quest for it.
-Run dungeons on normal to conserve PWR for quest hand-ins (PWR boosts quest rewards as well). Once you run out, bump it up to Master for the increased exp.
-Commissions are great. Don't forget to pick one up every time you dive into a dungeon.
Equipment:
-Enhance your armor to at least +6 for the HP/MP, weapon/offhand try to get +8 or better.
-Don't bother with the level 16 stuff, despite the increase in quality it's hardly better than level 15 greens and definitely not worth the enhancement costs.
-Don't forget to spark! Weapons, offhands, and rings can all get +damage (get whichever one your class uses); other slots can get the four core stats so go with whichever one helps your class most. Since spark drops can be kinda random, I recommend waiting until at least level 15 before really starting to use them.
This is what I did for my cleric, and I breezed through to 24 fairly easily. The toughest part was just at the end, where I ran out of quests (excluding commissions) about halfway through 23. All solo, btw. So, yeah...not too hard to level, just keep your gear upgraded so you don't suck.
