The so called lucky box glitch

So I might have found a method to produce more tickets.

For some strange occurance, players everywhere while going afk are recieving more tickets than usual, this may be due to the fact that their mabinogi clients are either minimized or left in the background while still running while they are afk.

Let me explain how it works from what I've witnessed:

First off, you go afk, but when you come back you'll notice for a brief period of time that everything rushes around as if the client is rush-processing everything that's happened while you were afk, such as other player movements and other occurances. While this data-rush occures, the server cpu time thinks it's much later than what it is, causing you to skip ahead and thus you obtain more tickets.

I just got 2 tickets in less than 10 minutes appart while having mabi in the background and suddenly returning to it.

Hmm I run Mabi on my background all the time but no luck with those. My friend on the other hand, just got 3 in less than 30 minutes running around Dunbarton.

Maybe it depends on how pretty your character is. ~.~

Don't think this is so. Maybe just a random glitch for some channels. Had it on the same channel, and stopped when I cc'ed. Sometimes, it happens again though.
Had this since the servers came up from the event addition on the same channel, until I cc'ed.

Dunno what you mean by Luck stats, pretty sure it wouldn't be influenced by the Luck character stat?

can't be that, i've experienced the same multiple ticketing and i NEVER have mabi minimized. when i actually minimize it, it slows my computer to more or less a crawl, so i can't. lol

My theory is it may have to do with the whole text glitch. (though i dont get how this would happen but hay its a theory)

I need a large group of ppl to ask before i can confirm but ive noticed a trend so far with 5-7 people.

It seems people who can see the text get 1 per 30 min and people who cant get it in shorter intervals.

I may be totally wrong here and it could just be a coincidence.

I just minimized mabi, came back a hour later and no tickets at all.(yes I have inv space)

It's not random.
It's exactly the same as another glitch we've had since forever, except here it gives items instead of being harmless.

That'd be neat if so, but I still can't see any obvious triggers for that one.

I've been afking the entire time, with the exception of buying a few HS seeds and picking some base herbs.

Hm. On my completely modless client, I can't see the text on the tickets, just the ?item code?, and I only get 1 for every half hour. Might cc and look for a "lucky" channel

I'm just going to assume it's not a glitch.
It probably has something to do with, you know puts on sunglasses, being lucky.

It's a glitch.

It starts a new timer each time you log in, like going to the character screen then logging back in.

The problem is that it doesn't get rid of the old timer, so you can log in once every minute, then in 30 mins, you'll keep getting it every minute.

It's possible to have 5-6 timers running at 30 minute interval each.

I got a lot without minimizing, so I'm pretty sure it's not that.

Sounds like Kenero pegged it pretty well. It also makes sense with the wiki... I imagine you wouldn't get any of them the first half hour, then you'd start getting several every half hour. Wonder if this maintenance will fix it or not.

Kenero is right.
The old glitch I mentioned is the party advertise glitch. If you cc to the same channel in a short amount of time then your advertisement appears more than once per cycle. This is the same thing, except with coupons.

I wanted more people to use their brains for once, but Kenero spoiled it.

So that's how I got so many tickets overnight. I left my computer running overnight and came back to see my inventory all the way full. Didn't even know it was a glitch or bug O.o

Here I was expecting only to get 16 tickets overnight and I ended up with 25+

EDIT: Just looked at what Kenero read. I did log out several times yesterday and had changed channels a couple times. The logging out was to save progress for fears of the server not saving **** >.>
