View Full Version : [Minecraft] Rosethorn castle (Work in progress) [Update!]

So, my friend made a new server world and copy pasted the old content onto the new, well...on my property there was a gigantic mountain that was cut absolutely in half, it looked horrible.

So I decided to make a castle out of it, it's still in progress to make it look less flat, but I figured I'd show you what it's like right now.


This isn't even the whole castle either, I'll upload more pictures when the server goes back up.

From what I can see, it looks nice. Have you decorated the interior, or do you still have the exterior to finish?

I decorated the interior, yes, I'm trying to switch back and forth from interior to exterior, and back again, but it's mostly furnished.

Whew. Finally posted all the pictures. I'll post updates on rooms and crap if anyone's interested. :whistle:

Also, special thanks to Zamadaga who owns and runs the server, he made the kitchen and the working gate, and tossed suggestions at me!

Posting first post just to tell you to turn off the UI when taking screenshots, looks better that way.
But nice, you got some good screenshots there.
And once again, sorry about that mountain :P. At least you're doing something interesting with it!
And if anyone notices / is wondering about the "You raise/lower your fists" thing: The server is run on bukkit, and one of the plugins running is mcmmo. She forgot to turn abilities off so they wouldn't bother her while she took screenshots :P

I really need to get this game.
Very nice castle, I like the idea of making a negative into a mega-positive.

It wasn't easy, I wasn't confident about it first, but now I'm glad I did it.

Digging the castle out of the rock now, the castle is massive...so It'll take a while since it's in the side of a freakin mountain. xD

Will post pictures on progress later.

Also, the castle now has a few NPCs, such as guards. They even talk!
