View Full Version : [Cooking] Sopaipillas.

You’ll need:
-A large non-stick frying pan or skillet
-A pizza cutter or small knife
-A plastic spatula
-Vegetable oil for frying
-8” flour tortillas
-Honey
-Cinnamon-sugar

1. Heat the oil until hot on medium heat.
2. While the oil is heating, cut each tortilla into four triangles with the pizza cutter or knife, down the middle one way, and then down the middle the other way.
3. Place the triangles in the oil and fry until golden brown.
4. Take out the triangles and drain on paper towels.
5. Sprinkle the sopapillas with cinnamon-sugar and serve with warm honey.
6. Enjoy!

(Yes, this is what I put in the Erinn Walker forever ago, but they really are worth trying.)

My mom makes these often on rainy days, but salty, not sweet. Which is how we prefer them O:
