I just made this and it's soooo good and easy, and doesn't cost much at all.

What you need:

Stock pot or Crock pot
Strainer
Spatula and mixing spoon
1 can of the following beans: Pinto, Black, Great Northern, Kidney, and Chili (if you need more servings, double the cans. You could also always use different beans if you don't like the ones listed)
1-2lbs of Ground Beef (depending on how many servings you need)
1-2 packets of Chili Mix (depending on how many servings you need -- can be bought at most grocery stores in the spice aisle. I usually get one that's a little hotter, but the brand doesn't really matter)
1 large can of Tomato Juice (46 or so ounces)
1 small can of Diced Tomatoes
Shredded Cheese (Optional)
Saltine or Oyster Crackers (optional)

Directions:

Put your ground beef in a skillet on Med-High. Make sure you stir it occasionally to prevent burning.
While your ground beef is browning, open all of your cans. Drain ALL the beans EXCEPT the chili beans.
Once your ground beef is cooked thoroughly, put it into your stock or crock pot.
Add the beans, tomatoes, tomato juice and the chili mix in with the meat.
Stir it around and cover it. Let it simmer for 30 minutes to an hour in your stock pot, or cook on low for 3-5 hours in your crock pot. Make sure you stir it occasionally.
After it's cooked, you can put it in a bowl and put cheese and crackers in it. I sometimes even put shredded onion on mine.
Enjoy!
