ma/b/inogi renamed

The spam section, formerly known as ma/b/inogi, has been renamed to Bean Rua, after the pub of Emain. This is to discourage 4chan-like behavior, which is the direction a lot of people were taking with it, even though it worked out fine until just recently.

All the rules still apply there except that you can still spam.

Spam in this sense does not mean flaming, trolling, or overall being a retard from the real /b/ on 4chan.

The post reporting function has been changed so that all staff, not just section-assigned mods are informed of any reported posts. This means there's a much higher chance you will get your ass kicked for doing something wrong.

On the forum main page showing all the sections and subsections, it shows a brief description of the section. We can just put "TNN" As the title of the section and say it stands for "Topics Not Necessary".

Lol... the irony cuts like a knife here.

I like Bean Rua. Why? Because when i added a spam-like section to my guild forum.. that's what i named it. It was originally the name for general discussion but I named my general discussion "Dunbarton Square" instead as it's the hub of communication it seems.

My reasoning was pretty much the same as Osay and Arsik. "Bar = drunks = randomness". Makes perfect sense to me really.

I have never liked abbreviated names for official things such as forums, guild names, and so on. It sounds unprofessional and can be confusing as most abbreviations have many meanings to them. So TNN automatically becomes dislike on that principle. I'm a minority though so who cares what i think, lol.


I do like the cat's suggestions though for alternatives.

Well... TNN is supposed to be a play on words. The forum it's representing is also not a serious one (but with serious rules though!)
