I don't like how some of the races look in Skyrim
Redguards and Orcs specifically
I liked the way Redguard's faces were in oblivion
and Orcs, NO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THEM
and even though I love the way Khajiits look now, I liked them better in Oblivion
however Argonians Look awesome

I have no idea when I can't even run Oblivion without it crashing :(, god forbid what Skyrim is like. (and I don't even own/'own' Skyrim)
Flawless FPS on games like Battlefield, but I'm getting freaking 15-20 FPS in Oblivion. I probably get a stable 60FPS+ on BF3...
Anyway, Bethesda really didn't get how to do faces well ;P I'm seen comparison screenshots between Oblivion and Skyrim characters, definitely like the Skyrim ones more (you'd be an idiot not to :P)

I must be an idiot then
maybe it's because I'm more attached to Oblivion than Skyrim
idk it's kinda the same why some people like 8bit versions of characters than the ones put in 3dish

my personal opinion i love the new orcs, old orcs were too blocky and had no detail... bleh khajits got an upgrade for sure.... reguards... eh... dark and high elfs DEFINITELY got an upgrade same with wood elves idk about game mechanics... skyrim seems cool... but i wish magic scaled... better....uhh i wish it scaled in the first place >.> ~patiently waits for source toolkit to come out and waits for a remade magic system~

I liked the arena in Oblivion. In fact, I would have loved to have even some type of incarnation of The Adoring Fan in Skyrim - so I could Fus Ro Dah his ass off a cliff.

spawn 50 annoying children at the summit of the peak.. ... continue to Fus Ro Dah them off the cliff ^^
get the killable children mod for the lulz of it
Idk the code command for spawning kids but...
"shoutrecoverymult 0" - removes cooldowns for all shouts , (spam time)

I didn't complete oblivion, but from what I saw, no.
Compared to skyrim oblivion doesn't compare for me. I liked the design of the main city in oblivion and it would be nice to someday have skyrim mods that let you travel to it (using skyrim quality graphics, not a port of oblivion), but it's not something I like more in oblivion. I found the non-human races to be very poorly made, even the humans themselves weren't too great. Their faces were really bad. In skyrim you can really tell they put effort into it.

Not really. I'm am still getting used to Skyrim, though, so I keep trying to do Oblivion controls in it, which is sort of annoying.

One feature I wish they brought back was the ability to make your own spells. While dual-wielding magic is nice, having only two effects is no where near as great as being able to combine several effects into one super spell, like for instance casting fire, ice and storm spells (either instant or DoT) simultaneously, and causing enemies to calm down with Pacify, letting you cast the spell again, or an escape spell that casts a spell for instant healing, a fortify armor rating, invisibility and silencing to save you in case of an emergency.
*These spells are theoretical and will likely consume a great deal of Magicka to cast if all of the effects work for that spell.
Sure, doesn't really help with having the damage scale over time like weapons do, but it would definitely make playing a mage more fun and unique experience.
Obvious choices:
Lack of primary stats
Reduced equipment parts (I want it back like in Daggerfall/Morrowind! Putting robe over armor, and separated armor parts, even left and right distinction)
Star Signs on character creation.
Character creation with primary and secondary skill choices, and primary stats selection (And even preferably Daggerfall/Morrowind style, with Primary, Major and Minor skills)
Spell Making

That equip stuff seems pretty awesome and I suspect mods will bring that to us. Just bethesda taking their sweet ass time with the mod tool.

SERIOUSLY D:
I want it so bad!
hat equip stuff seems pretty awesome and I suspect mods will bring that to usNeh, sadly. There isn't one for Oblivion even. Mainly because it would take too much work, if even possible, modders would have to re-create armor models for boots, cuirass, gaunlets, graves, helmet and pauldron. And make it somehow that you can equip for example, two pauldrons, and being able to choose which shoulder to put it on.
And such a thing would of course need a major rebalance of all enchanting and magical properties.

The equiping part at least is already done in both Fallouts, you can equip belts, shoulder equip, boots, legs, knees, robes D: I forgot the name of the mod for it though. So it should be possible to create more equipment slots and equipment to fit into them by breaking the 3D models into pieces (which is what the fallout mod does). As for stats and stuff that is a lot of work, but this is a bethesda game, people have made mods that rival DLCs.

I like Skyrim much more than Oblivion. That being said, I likee Cyrodiil much more than Skyrim. I don't really like snowy mountain settings. Also, the thieves guild questline seems more suited to the thieves guild in Oblivion.

Guild questlines in Oblivion were better than Skyrim's
