This is Mabination's first Pokemon Online Singles Tournament
It's mostly a test event to see if it works well and also see if the community wants to continue doing this sort of thing.
We will start the event depending on how much people signed up. If there's enough people, then we can start the event as early as December 26 (monday). It won't be a long event, mostly likely take 2-6 days. There will be a winner's bracket and loser's bracket.
Winner's bracket is simple, just people winning upwards to a finals.
Loser's bracket is for people who lost to play against each other. You can win upward in the loser's brackets. The winner of the loser's bracket will place against the winner of the winner's bracket.
This thread should be read first before the rules for better understanding of how this whole thing works.

Rules
1. The following clauses are in effect: Species, Evasion, Freeze, Sleep, Self-KO and OHKO clause. Do not mark other options when starting a match.
Description of each one below
Evasion Clause
Moves that boost evasion (i.e. Double Team and Minimize) are not allowed.
Freeze Clause
Two or more Pokemon on a team cannot be frozen at the same time.
Sleep Clause
Two or more Pokemon on a team cannot be asleep at the same time. Self-induce sleep via Rest does not activate Sleep Clause.
OHKO Clause
One-Hit KO moves are not allowed.
Species Clause
Two or more of the same Pokemon may not be used on the same team.
Self KO Clause
If both players have only one Pokemon left, moves which KO both the user and the opponent are not allowed (e.g. Explosion, Destiny Bond). If recoil damage would cause a tie, Self KO Clause does not activate, and the player who last attacked is the winner.
2. All matches must allow spectators (because people might want to watch).
3. Common courtesy. No flaming and other obvious stuff.
4. Gen V mechanics will be used
5. Matches will be done on Smogon University server (because it's a nice reliable server)
6. Teams must be ready on match day. You may switch pokemon between matches but not during a match.
7. Matches will be played for best 2 out of 3.
Both players will type Mabination at the first turn for confirmation of the match being part of this tournament.
There will be a thread where you should reply to with logs of each battle.
There is an option to save battle logs under the "Battle options" tab online.
It's by code of honor that you report honest logs.
