Well, if you didn't get a driver installation CD then you can look up your product serial number on their website and install it.
This will make the placement of your pen accurate, configure for multiple buttons, inputs, and pressure sensitivity.
Thats all you really need to make the most out of your tablet. If you have dual monitors, there is a program that allows you to limit your pen movement to one screen and switch between the two.
HAH, THAT KIND OF TABLET.
Is it an Android tablet? What model is it?

I don't know if it has a camera....or a microphone. I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to tablets. I'm trying to find out if I can get other e-readers on it as well.

If its like a tablet from a company that modified it (nook, kindle), then you won't have complete google apps access and the pricing will be set by the company and not the developers.
You'll want to root the device to boot a regular version of android so you can get all the apps you want on it. Play some minecraft pocket edition or something.

Your reaction makes me assume it's a bad thing :<
My mother has no ideas about tablets, nor do I, and according to her she went off of what the salesperson was telling her.

As long as I can read on it, or whatever, it works for me.

Reading is fine.
Its the resistive screen that gimped it. I hope they have come a much further down the road than before.
Well, the 3DS uses a resistive screen and that one is fantastic, so theres a little hope I guess. LCD screen is a big meh though.
I hope you didn't pay any more than 150 for it. If so, I'd return it for a different reading tablet instead... One with a better screen and battery life. Controls better and hurts your eyes less.

I honestly have no idea how much she paid for it. I'm going to guess it was $100 or less though.

Oh if its under a hundred she scored pretty nicely I guess. The hardware is really good. Its just the screen isn't favorable, which really doesn't help especially since you intend to read with it.
