And depends on the stabbing implement. If it is a brand new, or recently sharpened knife, then I'll take the stabbing, since it'll be clean in and out, so less pain over all. But if it is a banged up, rusty ice pick, for example, I'd rather be shot. Likewise with the bullet. Is it a simple musket ball where it just goes into the body and stays there? Or is it a hollow point bullet that breaks apart upon impact?

Plus besides, a Shotgun blast to the stomach is almost a guarenteed kill, since it shoot a ton of tiny pellets into you, and the fact that blast strength can send you flying. And if it's far enough away, you'll be hit with those pellets all over your body instead of focused into your stomach, so it'll hurt like hell if it still doesn't kill you.

I've been stabbed before. Well, I did it to myself. Picture this: A mechanical pencil almost half way through at that completely fleshy part nearby the joint of the thumb.

I'd rather be shot, as long it's only one bullet. If someone stabs you, they can have fun and begin wriggling around the object used to stab you. It's pretty fun.

The pain's caused by your brain; you're getting owned psychologically and neurologically.
It's more of the fear of getting shot rather than the pain itself.
Getting shot is just one rapid, precise hole drilled into your body. But pain actually varies,
depending on how your brain reacts to it.
After all, pain comes from nerves.

I would rather get shot than stabbed.
Getting stabbed is cutting through much more than your skin. It possibly damages nerves, blood cells, and the layers of tissues.
The area of getting stabbed is also generally wider. Oh, and don't forget blood loss.
