There was nothing wrong with the cartoonified butt, Osay even gave it the okay. It was their attitudes and the way they started becoming so extremely obnoxious and disruptive to the rest of the community with it. It would have been fine. I mean, I thought it was tasteless child toilet humor and didn't find it funny myself, but it wouldn't have been that bad if they hadn't taken it just sooo far.

I mean when it's to the point an Admin has to tell you to stop or you're going to get an infraction, that's when you know it's a good time to stop.

...not to mention after that still going after a mod gives you a warning, infraction, and two more very direct verbal warnings saying if you continue there will be serious consequences... that's just... I don't even.

PM him and ask why if you don't agree with his decision. Ask for clarification, explain your side of it. But you have to respect the decision, regardless of whether you agree or not. When an Admin says stop, you have to stop.

There is a way and a process to deal with something when you don't agree with it. Politely sending an Admin a PM like a mature adult asking for an explanation is the right way.

Protip: I wasn't even on. I was playing APB with RebeccaBlack nearly the entire ~7 hours (more?) this was going down. I wasn't even on when Arsik told everyone to stop. I never said anything about it... the last time I was on was when Osay gave the okay for it in some thread, and that was it. I was gone from that point on.

When I left, I expected to come back and see maybe like 2 more threads about it or something. I was surprised to see like 2 pages of it, like half a dozen freakin' people with the avatar, and nearly every thread riddled with it. That surprised me a bit, not gonna lie.

So, I read through the threads to make sure nobody posted anything inappropriate or flame wars or anything like that (you know, doing my job)...

And then I see that Arsik told them, and I quote:

No more of this. Just stop. No more mention of butts. No more butt jokes. No more anti-butt comments. Nothing. I'll start handing out minor infractions if this **** keeps up.

Now at this point, Arsik wasn't even on and this **** was going on strong.

When my Admin makes a decree like that, telling people no more, cease and desist, no more whatsoever, or there will be infractions handed out... That is an Admin decree. As a mod, it doesn't matter whether I agree with it or not, I have to respect our Admin's decisions. If an Admin says stop or there's going to be infractions and people keep doing it, and nobody else is on... it's my duty to step in and stop it.

You would think a warning would give you a clue to stop. No? An infraction? Still no? Two more very clear very strongly worded verbal warnings saying there will be severe consequences if it continues? I mean, at this point... it's just ridiculous. You don't disobey staff like that and spit in their face. When an Admin and a Super Mod both tell you to stop, you have to stop.

If you don't agree with it, then there are the proper channels for that.

I don't know who you're sending PM's to that aren't responding to you, but when I get a PM from a member like that... not only do I make a thread in the Staff section to get everyone on the Staff's opinion so we can reach a conclusion, but I send a PM back to the person and explain the decision that was made and the reasons why.

Hell, ask Compass... Just did that for him the other day.

No, not someone. An Admin. There's a ****ing difference. When an Admin says stop, you stop.

If you want to ask him why, then go for it. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to give you an explanation. But this is not the place. All you're doing is pouring kerosene on embers and stirring up drama.
