In the original version of Little Red Riding Hood, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf eat grandma together.

Well, I don't wanna ruin the story for you... but...

It'd be kinda sick considering it was her father.

Yep. They also did a movie recently called "Red Riding Hood" which was close to the original plot.

And the movie had Karin Dreijer write a song for it!

Huh... so that movie was actually closer than the tale most people hear. I'd actually like to read the original sometime, could be an interesting story. Amazing that the fairy tales could be made even MORE violent (do want to see Snow White and the Huntsman).

Yes, the innocent little things are actually quite morbid indeed. For instance, this little gem:

a ring around a rosie
a pocket full of posie
ashes, ashes, we all fall down

That came from the Bubonic Plague. Little kids would fill their pockets with flowers because of the horrible smell of all of the rotting and burning flesh (ashes ashes). Quite morbid indeed...

I remember how shocked I was when I found that out.

Allot of children stories and stuff are more often than not really dark & or sexual.

Like Goldilocks and the 3 bears.

I'd wager the OP is humbug.

Old tales can generally be pretty brutal, but not completely mental.

I actually prefer the original versions of these sorts of fairytales. Disney's versions are nice, but the originals are always the best.

I think Monty Python's version of Little Red Riding hood (

Fairy tales were not originally made for children.
