Uh well. I've got a question actually. Does this mean that the referred player (the established mabinogi account) has to complete g1-g3 during the event? Or does it count if you already did it before? I was operating under the assumption that both the new player and new player would have to do all three gens during the event period.

Technically, you're just helping people do them at certain parts, not doing them over again.
Though most people will just cheat and collude with a friend since that's much easier, especially for established players.

1. Find a friend to start mabi with a new account.
2. Have them submit your name, then help them do G1-G3 without skipping.
3. Both you and the friend get free pet, free rb, and 30 naos.

I'm assuming since it says "both the new player and existing player must complete G1, G2, G3 story quests" that if either one skips or has skipped, then it doesn't count.
Though I'm not sure if the existing person actually has to help with the quests, or if both people just need to have it cleared by september (which is what I'm thinking).

Assuming the pet is around $8-10 worth of NX, the prize is like ~$35 and is guaranteed. Plus you get Goddess and Obsidian enchants along the way. Not bad imo.

That's actually a good question. They're asking for the name of the character who helps the noob, not the account. If the helper isn't a human how does it determine if you're qualified or not? It wouldn't make sense to check the human character if you used an elf/giant to help.

Well, you can use your human account as the referrer.

I'm willing to bet that these are the criteria Nexon is checking for:
Noob referred you
Noob has Saved the Goddess & Savior of Erinn titles
You have Saved the Goddess & Savior of Erinn titles

The thing is, to have these titles, you must be human. So giants and elfs would not pass the check.

Look guys, All you have to do is get a fried wh alreay plays mabinogi that you found on mabinogi. Ask them if they wuld mak a new account and do this even with you. And in return you will make a new account and work with them as their original human character. Thats what im doing. Its only been on day and my friend and i are alradyhalf way through g1. And it only took 3 or 4 hours. My friend cant get on on weekends though so.... But anyway you can skip g1 and g3 it doesnt matter. But ur new account buddy cant skp them. So there you have it. I dont think its all that bad as long as you have friends to do the quest with. Lets see i tried to do all G1-G2 as early as possible. under level 40 total. G1 was about 1 week G2 was about 3-4 days (ideals took forever like 2 days). G3 isnt all that bad either just 3 hr waits in between quest. It does take a considerable mount of effort though.

Plus remember G1-G3 got super easy after those updates.

the only way to get it for a giant would be to complete the event on your human, and then mail it to your giant. Pets are for eveyrone on the account, so....

I dunno, I kind of like the prizes. Given that this was supposed to be an event that's supposed to draw new players in, a free character card and pet for doing gens the new player would have done anyway isn't a bad deal. Lawl, it's us greedy players that subverted the event by creating mules or whatever. I think the outfits are pretty cute, in spite of its nonexclusivity. When has Nexon carried through with 'exclusive' content anyway? Everything gets bastardized by recoloring and shoving into some event.

I also enjoyed running through g1-3 again. It's fun being noob and not worrying about windmill this time around. :D

I tried to do this project, but my main character is on G3 right now, so I can forget about a mule, and I can't find anyone who wants to do this thing anyway. It wouldn't be worth it for me, to create a 2nd character and outfit him with pets and 2xp potions just to speed things up, I'd rather buy the freaking nao stones and a rb card, it would end up being cheaper. The ratmen NPC's I run into are pretty ugly, so a pet of that isn't exactly "special".

The free rebirth and extra pack mule are well worth the effort. The fact that the pet has unrestricted Windmill is a bonus.

Considering this pet can WM the whole time it's out and not only when it isn't hungry, I'd say the Rat Man Kid is worth it.
