Streamin' Through the Summer
Promo Description: With summer vacation fast approaching, and months lay ahead with plenty of NEXON gaming, come celebrate the start of the summer with Mabination's Streamin' Through the Summer Livestream Event. Hosted by Animeshadows, be sure to tune in for hours of music, joking around, comedy, and— of course— prizes! Throughout the day on the stream there will be various minigames in-chat and in-game for you to participate in. With over $100 in UGC prizes (Working on this with Osay in the next few months— STOP USING ADBLOCK ON THIS SITE!), you won't want to miss out!
Event Description: Streamin' Through the Summer is a livestream event hosted by myself, and will be advertised on Mabination, NEXON Forums, and in-game. A side goal of the event is to see if we can gain more traffic on Mabination, especially after we move to the new forum system. It requires an event staff, prize donors, and a cohost, which you can read about below. All technical aspects are generally handled by myself. At regular intervals, the stream will be interrupted by a video which outlines details of a minigame.

In-Chat Minigame Sample (The example is Hangman. This graphic I threw together in about 10 minutes, so I don't have the voiceover or the words added. As the timer ticks down, the "blanks" will slowly fill. The first/second/third correct users gain points, incorrect guesses lose points):

Event History: I've held large-scale livestream events for New Years in a past community I left about a year ago. The second-annual stream had over $80 in prizes for UGC cards in addition to various art prizes donated by artists in the community (character sketches, avatar/signature sets, etc). I didn't want to hold a New Years stream on Mabination last/this year given I wasn't that-well known at the time. Now, with a few months to go until summer, we have this in mind— but I'll need the help of a few users.
Staff Positions:
In-game event judges from Ruairi, Tarlach, and Alexina — Responsible for judging events, such as the sampled event above.
Co-host — Somebody with a lovely personality and a webcam that can take over for me on the stream for a few minutes in the event of a computer malfunction, etc.
Chat moderators — Responsible for judging in-chat games, such as hangman, as well as suspending unruly users.
Event Donors — If you want, donate a prize to the event, such as an art commission or an UGC.
All-in-all, these events are really fun to hold. In the next few months, as we near the actual beginning of summer, a date will be set in stone. I'm talking to Osay about possible prizes MabiNation will want to donate, and its looking promising... :x If you are interested in helping, PLEASE tell me~! In addition, if you have ideas for games or general feedback, let me know below.
