To Europeans about upcoming compensation

As many of you know, tomorrow we will receive our NX cash in form of a code. The other part will be directly transfered to your accounts to use on other EU games. Since we all know how safe Nexon website is, there are two things you MUST do before tomorrow.

1. Change your EU account password. Create notepad file and slam the keyboard for your new password (make sure there are special characters like `'¬*£Y"). Save the file and keep it somewhere safe.
2. Download NA Maplestory (Not necessary to play) and set up a PIN code. MS has this feature for addition security. Why? Because MS has unique trading system called MTS (Maple Trading System) where you can buy and sell in game items (and some cash shop items) for NX or gold. Chinese bots use it to transfer your NX to their accounts.

I encourage all EU players to do this. I've seen too many people lose NX because of that system and I hate to see it happen to any of you. It'll only take a few minutes to set up the PIC and to create the character on any server. That way your account more "secure-ish" from those damn bots.

Iunno if they can steal both, or only prepaid... but 100% sure prepaid is game for them.

idk i haven't gotten mine stolen even though i used to have ~100k nx sitting on my account in prepaid for quite a while

I've had 30k prepaid stolen through the mts while I had a pin on the account but some of my good items were missing too...

I don't know whats up with that.

Either way I guess it can't hurt to have a pin in MS although I doubt its usefulness.

NX Cash (prepaid) is what's used in the MTS. That's why they can jack it.

NX Credit, however, is not usable in the MTS. They can't steal it through there.
