I always save 2m for "emergencies" and repairs. I have 13m saved in my bank atm though and using it all on enchanting.

Uh, what?
I just don't buy much of anything. There's not much I want, really.
As a result, I really never know how much I have.
I only take money out of the bank for important purchases. If it costs less than a mil, I'll get it myself.

I'm a mabinogi merchant before merchanting was available. I spend all my money and 80% of the time make more money than I spent. I should probably make... "ghost money" so I don't end up with no gold again... But lets be honest, you can easily make 1m without keeping a hand on the market or channel 1.

To answer the thread, I usually try to have 500k-1m in my bank for repairs since I'm OCD and have to have everything full dura, or as much as possible.

What do you do for mabi merchanting? How do you know what you buy will sell for more? I have about 1.5m in my bank and am afraid to actually buy anything because I think I won't be able to sell it again. >.>; For example, I have a bunny doll from a really old gacha, dyed it white, yet no one wishes to buy. Makes me sad. ;~;

I used to not spend bank money, but not spending money is wasting money. Having a bank full of gold does nothing to better my character lol

Yeah not spending money is the same as not having it at all in a way. Though one can still save up for major purchases. An empty bank also gives me more motivation to make more money.

What kind of evil, soulless person wouldn't want to buy a bunny doll as long as it was reasonably priced? Maybe you should try to sell it more actively. Lots of people like bunny dolls, specially elves who enchant them with Cypress for stam abuse + pretties.
Also, I have like 150m I won't touch so I can instant-get whatever OP pre-enchanted gacha item comes out next.

I have "ghost money". It's I guess a couple million I never take into account when considering what I want to buy and how much of something I'm willing to purchase. Why? It eases my mind. Irl I'm the same way. I like to keep a good amount of money as back-up so if an "emergency" pops up, I won't have to worry (as much). For me, the mental security and ease of mind it brings me is more valuable than the money itself is, to me.
I always make more money than I spend anyways, so the amount in the bank gradually rises higher over time even when I do things like buy wands for others or do upgrades/98% repairs whenever I feel like it without thinking too much. Personally, this way of playing the game is much better than trying to be as efficient with my money as possible, despite how much better it might be for my character and equipment in the long-run. Oh well, my loss.

Wish I did, but if I had money in the bank, it's untouchable.

Possibly because you've been trying to sell it for five million gold during a time when people are being conservative with their cash, and bunny dolls can be easily tailored by the various new tailors created by the recent bazaar event. You should be able to sell it easily enough, just for a fraction of that price.

I only have about 350k in my bank right now, and I always try to keep at least 5k on me for repairs and stuff.
I don't really wanna use it...I like having big stockpiles in case of emergencies.

:imdead: <-- Shocked into death by that number. Is that all made from r1 tailoring and blacksmithing? I don't think I'd have a clue were to start, what to make, or how to even make the money to make money through these skills. It's a viscous cycle. >: /
Any recommendations on where to start on either of them? Anything would be much appreciated.

all the money i have in the bank I never touch it. They are my emergency savings which are stricly for emergencies >:I. All I carry in my normal inventory is atleast 2-3 full 50k gold bags which are used for things like repairing and getting supplies like feathers, bandais, etc. That and I'm not much of a buyer as I used to. I rarely visit dunby now and if I do, usually for clothing repairs or I jut happened to warp there from Iria
I haven't had a bank :| since November
can't remember password, so yes, ghost money qq

This thread so clearly portraits a scenario of financial crisis and deflationary actions... Lol, if only there was a Central Bank in Mabinogi, and Ersik bank payed an interest rate for the gold we have, and we could use debt... yet, it could create an even worse scenario... the only thing that really messes up this simple economy is NX (as an artificial currency that creates inflation and in some cases dilutes the scarcity of an item); and gold glitch of course, but that is an externality we can't control directly, unlike the other things I mentioned.

I have never had more than 5 mil gold in my bank at any given moment, and usually it's far less. I currently have about 2.5 mil, and it's all spendable if there's something I want.

I call it savings money. I like to reach certain milestones. Once I reach that I make a mental note to never drop below that level. That is unless I really want something and I can afford it.
