If you say it like that then no it doesn't sound that bad. But look at the cooldown times for other skills and then think how it would work in the game if we had it right now. Also look at it this way. Giants are known for their melee yes? They can load smash and other skills faster than the other races and that's one big reason they are awesome for melee. Then at elves, they are known for their range. Now take all those things away and what do you have? 3 races that can load skills at the exact same speed and cooldowns that are the same across the board. No diff in race and argh too early to type more xD

The update wouldn't be so bad if it didn't screw over some 'classes' while it boosts the potential of others.

I'm all for increasing the potential of some 'classes' but not at the other's expense.

There's always hope, but I figure they're still intending on revamping the combat system either way. The only real issue is how they're going to do so.

I was planning on switching to Alchemy around level 1.5k or so anyways, but it's still a crappy system if they happily screw over a certain group.

Vast majority are, more so than I can say for other guilds i've been in. You get the occasional person tht typez leik dis nd askz 4 st00f, but eh, I met like one or two of those ever.

Nah but with bazaar you can get a lot of mats quite easily..although event is down atm so not right now lol

Ooh, best of luck! I tried doing that but for now i'm focusing on melee, which as a Giant is pretty OP. It's definitely easier to do combat first and life skills later, because a lot of materials that you need (ahem, leathers) requires killing monsters. Someday, if I ever get really pro (if it helps, I almost have r1 Smash? :D, though I lag like holy hell), i'll run dungeons with you and you can get mats. x]

I am looking to join a guild and this seems to be the best (only) one with a forum thread. I am a returning player who quit a few months after that gold duping fiasco on Tarlach. Unfortunately, the e-mail account I used to register my old account got hacked and had to be deleted. I forgot my log-in info of course, so I had to start a brand new Mabinogi account.

Hopefully you guys have room for a quasi-newb looking to get back into the game.

P.S. For transparency's sake, my new giant character just hit level 99/99 (my blissful days of daily RBing are over) and still needs to get his transformation. I also cannot afford to be terribly active on weekdays; college/work comes first.

An old game I used to play back in 2001 to 2004-ish, it's called Toontown Online. It was the first online game I really got hooked on and I was recently able to get back into it. My Mom has started playing again now too, though we can't really afford membership for her at the moment. lol

I know that feel ladybro. Though knowing my luck, I won't be in any physical condition to work during the Summer. Or I'll finally be fit enough to work and there will be no jobs available. Washington is the worst place to find jobs, which is really ironic since we have pretty great minimum wage over here. I'd love to be able to get a minimum wage retail job (starts at about $9 hourly), but with little to no jobs + me not being fit to work anyways. It effin' sucks.
We're hoping Mom might be able to start her job early since she'll already have 1 degree by the end of this quarter, but who knows. Fingers crossed since we get no more money from the state this August since I turn 18. Kind of figures I'd be the cause of this bullshit.

Yeah, getting employment around here isn't easy too, it's not really easy anywhere. My mom admitted that she wouldn't be upset if I didn't get a job as long as I tried to find/get one, but I honestly don't think I can survive another summer not doing anything useful. Plus, I reeeeally need the money for college.

I told myself anything but McDonald's, which is the only fast-food joint in town. I can't stand the smell. I only eat that stuff like 3 times a year for a reason (and when I do, it's as a treat my brother wants and hey why would I pass up free food/we're on vacation and there's nowhere else to eat).

Interesting...my mom actually wants me to work during the school year, but I honestly don't think I can keep my grades up and work a job. I spend pretty much all of my time doing school stuff this year without a job, and i'm going to be taking even harder classes next year. She said I could try working during weekends but I feel like an employer isn't going to hire you if you can only work Saturdays/Sundays (and I don't work Sundays and i'm often busy with drill on Saturdays). Plus, i've talked to people who do that and they say it's miserable. She's pretty insistent on it, even though I don't want to do it and everybody else disagrees with her, oh well.

I think I'd prefer retail jobs above all else, though preferably something like stocking/floor management so I don't have to bullshit customers 24/7 with pseudo-niceness. Fast Food places just aren't my thing. Though I guess I can see why it would appeal to some?..

Thankfully school isn't an issue for me anymore, but even if it was, it'd probably be a bitch to keep up with school while working even part-time. My Highschool work wasn't exactly extremely difficult, but it didn't help that I was a lazy bastard either.
But yeah, you won't really find any non-seasonal jobs that will give you such loose hours. I think the minimum I've heard of was like 5 hours a day 4 times a week, so a total of 20hrs weekly. I've heard they prefer more days and shorter hours to less days and more hours, which is understandable. But I guess it may vary from place to place?

I'm sure you'll find something, though. Depending on where you live there's usually a fair amount of seasonal summer/fall jobs available. Especially at places like water parks or food joints. Sometimes zoos even hire a bunch of teens/young adults to help with guide work and all that since a lot of kids get dumped off at summer programs there.

On your Giant? That's not that bad at all. I don't know why there's such a huge rush to get to r1 anyways. r5 works like a charm for me.

I'm also looking for retail, but our local swimming hole hires in the summer, which is ideal for me. I can walk there (<5 minutes), decent wage, work with some people from my school (which, while I don't like most of them, it's mostly friendly people that work there, and hey, human interaction is a huge plus), but I just hope for something, really. Wish we had a zoo, I wouldn't mind working there. x] it's basically a half-dozen retail/grocery stores and maybe 2 summer camps around here.

I'll finish WM on my Human sometime within the next few years. Maybe. But really, r5 should be more than good enough. The only relevant things I can think of that make r1 WM that great is the radius + some extra damage/stats. But I'm pretty sure you can live without those for awhile.


Working at a water park/zoo was my dream, too. At-least in terms of seasonal jobs. The zoo around here is great, but it's about an hour(?) drive. Same with the nearest water park.

A grocery store sounds nice, though. My neighbor used to work at the deli of our local Safeway and got to eat soup there for lunch on the house. I jelly.

Customer Sales in Macys, Sears, Target
Stocking in Foot Locker
Merchandise Pickup in Best Buy
Deli Clerk in Best Yet
Assistant Manager in Gamestop
Cashier in King Kullen, Walmart
Tutor for various people

And out of all of them retail is one of the worst I've ever had for enjoyment wise I guess. That said I'm still in retail now for a good 4 years because the people I work with are amazing and the salary is pretty sick since I work off commission. Yay for $1,000+ paychecks bi-weekly since I go to college to in the city =D

So pros in retail : can meet some awesome people/sick paychecks if you work on commission
cons of retail : CUSTOMERS, a lot of work for low pay in general, no real benefits, CUSTOMERS

That being said you can always metallurge, keep what you're looking for, and then price gouge the ore bots to make money on the side, assuming you've got inventory plus at least. That or just sell via chat.

The picture is pretty dang good and your use of tone is pretty decent. Some minor details here and there but overall very well done.

The main issue I have and mind this is personal opinion are still the legs. Unless it is your intention to go by the 5 head standard?

In anycase most drawings/people irl are structured in a 7~8 head spacing. Here I'll show you what I mean.

See? The using the head as a rough measurement the torso is usually 2 heads tall which you nail nicely every time.
But the legs are generally 2 heads tall till the knees and another 2 heads till the ankles where the foot is half a head.

But once again if you are aiming for the look you are going for it's fine as it is. This is just an opinion of myself in what I draw (when I have time)

The height thing is more than likely some sort of anime crutch, and/or a preference to somewhat shorter girls. Giant heads and all that. The legs portion is, I dunno, strange. If I elongate them it tends to look odd to me, but short looks odd to most others too, so i oughta mess with that.

Lately been browsing some IPod games so I could pass time at work when its deader than a doorknob and found one called "Legend of the Cryptids". Its one of those f2p games so off course there are micro-transactions but being the fact its just gonna be a time waster I dont want to spend any $ on it lol. Which brings me to my main point. Right now theres this event thing going on where if I refer people that person and I can get free stuff. Just gotta download the game and when you make your name theres a spot that says if anyone referred you. Basically put my name in there, go through the 5min tutorial and there done we get free stuff =D
Course I'll make it worth your while too! If you tell me your name on the game I'll give you 100k in mabinogi ;D

Never experienced that xD our whole family, uncles, aunties, cousins the lot live within 1 hour of each other :P
