Worth of ranking Blaze up to r1?

I'm considering throwing aside some current goals I have at the moment, and save up AP to rank Blaze to r1.

Is this a good investment? Seeing 10k Critical hits with it at 300(?) Int really appeals to me, and from what I've seen, dishes high damage faster than advance magic. It would mean I would actually have to worry about my Int stats other than just meeting the minimal 300 Int for Mana Shield. As for MP/SP/CP issues, I got those covered.

The only thing that sort of worries me is timing it right so that I can get a good charge while the target's being knocked down. But I guess that's something I'll have to practice both solo and party. As of now, the only downside I can see to Blaze is the usage of a wand.

Also, something about walking around with "the Master of Blaze" title on is really self-ego-inflating. :XD:

EDIT: Also, does anybody think Blaze is... imbalanced for PvP?

Trust me, Blaze is a VERY powerful skill. It ignores protection in the magic part too, so crits are possible on monsters.

As for PVP... NO idea. Never PVP. XD

Eh, it's best to rank up all the important skills to 1 first. Blaze is one of those "you don't need this at all but helps" kind of skill.
But, it's not really imbalanced at all. Since, well, seeing how implementing the nerfed version of ___ right from the start seems to be the trend in NA, you have a high chance of getting nerfed blaze. Therefore, the ice spear+blaze combo so many are fond of won't exactly work anymore. Plus, it's too much trouble to even get that ice spear out.
Though, if you get a whack in you CAN do 1+1+ blaze. But if it's 100% damage PvP, that's kinda overkill since people die very quickly anyway.

Interesting I never looked into Blaze very much myself but I may very well have to get this bad boy when it comes. 10k crit with 300 int? My base alone is over 300, bring it on! :D

I'd say bring up your int by ranking prior magic to 1 first if you haven't already and possibly rank up composing and music theory as well (again if haven't already). As long as cp related skills such as windmill are out of the way I see no reason not to at that point.
