The terse announcement comes by way of the official 5pb Twitter account – further details can be expected later.

An indirect sequel to Chaos;Head, the plot of Steins;Gate follows the struggle of a group of Akihabara otaku who inadvertently stumble upon dark experiments in time travel, with the original visual novel featuring an innovative interactive storyline advanced through mobile phone messaging.

The story of Steins;Gate takes place in Akihabara and is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them. Steins;Gate has been praised for its intertwining storyline and the voice actors have been commended for their portrayal of the characters

The original visual novel is also noted for its distinctive character designs, created by none other than huke, the artist responsible for Black Rock Shooter and others.

Another anime adaptation from a Visual Novel, awesome. And of course, the artist of the series is huke, the person responsible for Black Rock Shooter.

Only good thing about Chaos;Head, after you finish it, will be its ED Song. Not because the show is over, but it's pretty good, too good for the series.

Using the simple time leap machine that Okarin has does not create a very large divergence number. The two things that are constant here is Mayushi getting killed and Okarin reaching the time machine. It can only be different if they totally switch world lines.

yea, the Visual Novel Translation group are halfways out of the Alpha Attractor Field in which the translation project fall to ruins. Just half way more and they will reach the Beta world line where the transaltion is completed and availeble.

more or less possible... This information is based on the theory you watched all episode up to 17.

In episode 9, Ferys Nyan Nyan sended a D-mail to prevent her father from dying, It cause the world line to switch from 0.456903 % to 0.409420 %

in episode 10, Okabe sended a D-mail to follow Suzuha and prevented her from leaving in her time machine. This D-mail cause the world to shift from 0.409420 % to enter World lie 0.337187 %

Up to episode 16, Okabe did various Time leap which changed how his actions were going to be but that wasn't enough to change the world line which stayed 0.337187 %.
At the end of episode 16, he did a D-mail that canceld the previous D-mail so he never followed Suzuha. This caused the world to shift from 0.337187 % to 0.409031 %
It is a slightly different number but it's very close to been the same of episode 10.

In episode 17, Okabe cancle out the D-mail of episode 9 and cause the world line to shift from 0.409031 % to 0.456914 % That new number is very very close to what it was before epsiode 9.

There is a really high probability she mailed herself in the past to go grab the IBN5100 before Okabe found it. Which is why she never visited their lab and the others don't know her. Actually, If I was okabe, I would stick around this World line for a while and see what happen..

Since Shining Finger never went into the lab, she has no idea they are working on a time machine and so she can't report to SERN.. There is a posibility Mayuri will not be killed in this World Line

In the anime, Kiryu moeka was working for the manager, FB. When it came to it, the manager killed Moeka and then himself with a gun... In the game, they remained in the house and he simply commited suicide without touching Moeka.. Than later on.. the daughter of the manager came to their appartement and stabed Kiryu with a smile.. She then promised to kill Okabe in 15 years as she smiled and left.. That explain why in the story he died in 2025.... dam that kid is now so creepy in my mind... Maybe she willingly killed Mayuri when she pushed her into the train... So many possibilities...

In the game, you then had the choice to cancle Kiryu Moeka's d-mail right after she died... or to investigate Nae.. if you investigate nae, you iwll leap back before you meet mr.braun.. As previously, he commit suicide but then Okabe run after Nae.. They run until Nae is out of breath and he catch her. After a few questions from Okabe, she stab open his arm and with her fingers start playing directly into his wound, touching his nerves and even his bone.. She tells him how she remember memories of 15 years in the future..
Driven by Hatred and the desire for revenge, Nae survived for a long time. She learned how Kiryu had commited suicide and was sadden she couldn't kill her herself.. Later on in her life, she became a rounder for SERN and tracked down Okabe the terorist. When she captured him in 2025.. she tortured him in the most horrible ways until he begged her to kill him. After slicing his throat, she kept stabbing his body endlessly.. but that wasn't enough for her vengeance.. As a part of SERN, she discovered the time machine Okabe made that SERN confiscated and kept hidden.. Using it, she time leaped back into the past, 15 years back into the past. The limit of the machine is 48 hours time leap.. so she time leaped again and again, over 2738 times.. Only so she could kill Moeka herself... She understand how this world line dedicate that Okabe will die in 2025 so she tell him that it's not that she don't want to kill him.. but that she Can't kill him.. yet Since is death is predicted in 2025, he's also predicted by fate to "live" till then... she time leaped 15 years of her life for revenge.. she might even have started a loop in which she will wait those 15 years, kill okabe again, time leap back, kill moeka, kill okabe again, kill moeka, kill okabe, kill moeka.........

My god. It was beautiful.

Better than Madoka, best anime I've seen in my life so far.

I loved how all the plot points were important and the first episode was so crucial to the story.

Even though time travel seemed so powerful and it has the ability to change everything, in the end, everything plays out exactly as it should and the power of time travel was only an illusion.

Also i teared up at the part where they first found out who was Suzuha's father.

I'm going to rewatch the series on monday again to see if I missed anything and understand the thing better.

The way the plot is structured, watching it once isn't enough because you have to go back to find out the details.

I just realized Nakabachi (Kirisu's father) and Nox from the Wakfu cartoon are very similar.

Both Nakabachi and Nox wanted to go back to the past to fix something that was related to their families and became villians in the process because they thought they would find the answer (time travel) and fix everything.

Nox killed everyone in his way thinking the lives could be returned once he fixed things in the past.

Nakabachi wanted to prove to his daughter that he could create a time machine so that he could travel back and tell himself to place his family first regardless of any situation. That's why he treated his daughter so badly because he thought he really could do it.
