My current warhammer is the same grade as this one. Ideally, I wanted another mob drop/cave one for the reforge but none were available. Already had close to 130 crit with the one I've got now. Welp, time to see if these reforges live up to the hype.

Edit: Also, r1 blacksmiths in my server aren't particularly savory people. I'd rather use an NPC hammer than request help from them.

Tropacat and Indexu spent at least that much on their cards, especially since Gold Strike is apparently extremely common.

Ice Spear is one of the best candidates for a premium combo card, though the actual value of said card is up to you. Ask yourself if 100k NX + 2k NX a month is worth up to around +40% average damage.

I ranked up a few skills, and I finished Training for Rnak 3 Playing Instrument, so once I get enough AP I will rank that up to Rank 2 and let the default successes commence!

I also amassed a ton of Common Leather Straps thanks to the help of two of my guildies, and I used them all up today, so tomorrow or later tonight I will acquire more :glare:

Pretty much that. I also happened to have a few 2x Life Skill EXP potions on hand that were all going to expire in under a day, so I used them all on Playing Instrument (since I wasn't ready to rank something harder).

I know this, I never said that Level 5 was not a big difference.

It is only said that only Level 2 is all they need to make Blacksmithing a whole lot easier than before reforges existed - Level 5 helps even more, but if they have Level 2 it's enough.

Getting a Level 2 Blacksmithing Hammer is a lot cheaper and easier to get than Level 5 as well.

The Ice Spear has a damage bonus of about 35~38%, iirc.

It turns out, though, that I have trouble getting a 5-charge IS after the smash, even with no interruptions. :fail:

Would go make myself a combo card, but I don't really like the prospect of having to pay so much for them...

I got rolled back to where I had the glove and not the sword, but the glove was un reforged. Waited some hours and then got the sword again and reforged both and got a better reforge for the glove this time. sword's reforge still sucked though.

The 11% works on natural mobs which luckily make up about 90~95% of the mobs in this game. If you have it, it's pretty safe to say your max is what you get from the reforge. I have lightning on my warhammer, so I dont know if I can test on any actual elemental mobs but I am definitely weaker against wisps. Maybe if you get ice or fire, you can see if you deal even more on ice/fire mobs.

Elementals don't even effect magic damage at all.

Elemental reforges are 11% damage per level -1 against neutral mobs.

It's a bit more complicated against elemental mobs because there are levels of elements and what not, but you can't really lose with elemental reforges that are level 2 or higher.

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm waiting on. Haven't started yet just because of the possibility that they might not ever get fixed.

Also waiting on the spirit transfer pots that I keep hearing about, I don't mind losing damage for those reforges but it'd be even better if I didn't lose any still.

I'm.. also not sure if 7.2m is good luck or bad luck for a 2 line elemental reforge. I'll spend that much gold when/if reforges get fixed, got other things on my list of priorities at the moment.

It's actually 6.5m, if you NPC the maces, and a bit cheaper on Wednesdays, not that it matters much. Because I also got a Rank 2 reforged mace as well while hunting this one, I think it was well worth it. From my experience and what I've seen on JP wiki discussions getting a Rank 2 from an NPC toolkit is about a 1/800 shot. In fact, if I saw a double elemental Iron Mace for sale before I tried reforging, I'm sure I'd have been willing to pay more than 6 or 7m for a damage boost of roughly 150. I'd like if transfer pots came out too, but if ego reforges were fixed I wouldn't hesitate to transfer.

As far as luck goes... that's always the kicker xD You could get what you want in one reforge, or a thousand, or maybe never. But the way I think about it is that it's a game, you might be broke but never in debt so you can always make more money, and you never get a payoff if you don't take a risk now and again :) So, I'm not saying you or anyone should go spam reforges right now. But, when everything else is taken care of you might as well!

Oh, for sure. I was just taking into account the amount of times it took you to get yours. At the very least, you won't have to put in work when/if ego reforges are ever fixed. I doubt I'm gonna reroll another warhammer for a 2-liner anytime soon though.

And you can easily finish r7 by doing the sun kits with woodboards + paper; the problem for me is having to make the tough threads now, too much boring work.
