I wonder if it is my router or something else...because I formatted my PC and reinstalled everything, yet my internet is really unstable, especially when I play Mabi.

At least now it's not so bad to the point where even my whole internet is affected if I lag in Mabi.

If I type 1 to 5 in succession in the All chat, my 4 and 5 will be missing.

I'm using a proxy and this shouldn't be happening. I never lagged ever since I got this proxy. Also, I get the same symptoms without the proxy turned on, so it has to be something else causing this. This started a few days ago.

Reps to anyone who find out the cause of this.

How you tried resetting your router?

How you tried resetting your router?
Did that yesterday but no effect.
Which was why I decided to clear up my computer.

I would reset it again if not for a sibling playing gunz.
He tells me that he has it for over a month but I don't really believe it because it is only recently that I saw him playing it.

I get like 1000-1500ms without the proxy and 500-1000ms with the proxy. Normally I should get 200-400ms with the proxy and there shouldn't be any delays in typing.

No idea if gunz is causing the lag. He used to play runes of magic and it wasn't a really big problem for me.

And I saw a few portforward settings related to IKU on the router for his computer, which is some video-sharing chinese p2p website. Trouble is that even when he stopped P2P downloads yesterday and continued to play gunz, I'm still lagging.

The most I can do now is to wait for morning time to check if I still lag by then (with the condition that his computer is turned off). That's the only way I can know if his computer is the cause of it.

What internet provider do you have?
I have Verizon, and their internet service SUCKS! Most reliable my ass =.=+
Like, whenever i try to play Mabi, I always disconnect within 1-2 hours, which prevents me from doing long dungeons like G1 and G3 Finals

I personally prefer Comcast, cause they have better internet, but my dad's pretty stubborn about switching even though it's only slightly more expensive, cause it'll "corrupt me even more to play games like Mabinogi"

I'm pretty sure it's the fault of your internet provider, so if you can, try switching to some other company and see if that works.
From the description you gave us, it's definitely not the computer or anything on it. It MIGHT be the router (highly unlikely though...)

Another thing that might cause it is...
See if your internet is password protected, because if others use your internet, obviously, it's gonna be slowed down. If it already has a password, try changing it.

Hope these helped =D

Contact your ISP and have them check your connection.

Singnet.
I'm also thinking it's either the router or if the connection to china is being faulty.
I'm going to have to check with some other friends over here if they are lagging more from playing other china-based games.

Apparently my lag is better once I switched off my brother's computer.
So the cause has to be from there.
I believe it could be the p2p program or skype, it should be either one of them.

And then I asked one of my guildmates (in china) to test out the all chat lag test (spamming 1, 2, 3 and so on) and we found that it was a problem with the game server. So I stopped short of sending an e-mail to the ISP.

I'll still rep you all and thanks =3
