haha, polar bear is easy to solo =D Just start taking it easy and learn his attack pattern, and distances he travels in each of them. You'll want him to do his left paw attack mostly, since that allows you to do Blossom. If you stay close to him he'll do it really often.

Err, how often should I be using Heavy Stander? Since I find whenever I use Blossom I'm not recovering fast enough to dodge his follow up.

And argh, had him to a third of a bar, then I messed up timing and got hit by all 3 swipes of that one attack...
Well, least I'm getting closer.

And spears isn't really a viable option, you only carry 14 (on Normal, no way I'm going to solo him on Hard). It's good for one or two stuns only.

Spears is a good idea actually IMO o3o. You can hit his eye easily after he does his left-paw attack.
I don't really use HS against the bear, unless I screw up at some point, also I assume you are using GCHS.

Yes, I am using GCHS. Really I think I'm getting the two paw attacks mixed up (and I have horrible aim whenever I try to hit the eye).

Also, is running around waiting for him to roar the best way to heal up?

You can heal safely after he roars and when he starts doing his double paw attack.

Finally did it on the 7th attempt. I got lucky and for half a HP bar, all he did was the right paw attack.
