I've always found there's some kind of charm that's lacking from Alchemist's sprites compared to Ryukishi's crappy sprites. I... don't know.

I guess it has an appeal to it, for all those people who refused to read it because they couldn't deal with the art. I agree that it loses a lot of it's charm without Ryu's art, much like the anime did for me (I never got more than a few episodes in, it was just plain boring in that format). The real question is, who would pay $100 for just the first 4 episodes - on a PS3? I guess it would be a neat way to heat the room in the winter. Also, if and when it would ever be in English?
