View Full Version : If it's an Intermediate 4 run, and you get a rare page drop, do you....

Vote, I just want to see how people deal with this sort of situations.

I usually split profits between everyone in the team, be it friends or strangers. Unless the people in my party are totally leeching off me.

Also, take note that the poll is made public. I wanted to edit polls to make it anonymous but I can't find the option to do so.

If I'm specifically running for the page (and my party members know), they give me the page if it drops. Common courtesy, I think.

If we're just running the dungeon and no one there really needs the page, I guess the person who finds it can boast about it and keep it, yeah?

If I am doing it with friends/guild = Split unless they don't want to for some reason. If someone needed a page, I may or may not ask that person to pay part of the page depending on who it was.

If I am doing it with stranger (very unlikely), I would most likely just run away with the page unless I feel that I wasn't the only one doing all the work.

Definitely split it with other people if they're friends, unless they don't want the page, then I sell it for myself.
And if someone else's running the dungeon for the page and I get it, it's always theirs.

I don't like to page steal :3

all dependent on the circumstances of the situation. Haha.

If a person is finding specifically for the page in our team, we'll definitely give the page to him. Just the way you said it.

I find it really annoying when someone does a mad rush for the bosses (especially bright red spider of Alby Int 4), which is why I choose to do profit split if nobody is looking for the page. The people I usually run dungeons with know my way of doing things, which was influenced by the older players we interacted with before they left the game for good.

I can understand how people do things differently...I had this situation today and was pondering over it, which is why I put up this poll.

Unless they ask me that they are running the dungeon for that page or pages, I keep it and do what ever with it.

My priority is:

1). If somebody in the party needs the page, they get the page.

2). If there's anybody in my guild/friend list who needs the page, then just give it to them.

3). If I need the page, I use it.

4). If it's their pass/dibs, they can have the page and do whatever with it.

5). Sell it and split the profits with whoever wants a share.

6). Sell it and give the profits to a guildie/friend who needs the money.

7). Sell it and keep the profits.

I never ran a page dungeon and sold it to keep the profits to myself; it is a last resort for me. It's a main reason why I make very, very little income running for pages, but that's just how I do things. It makes me comfortable and happy that way.

well since i wouldnt run alby int 4 with strangers... and either solo or with friends i chose option 3

If it's a run for someone, then I give it to that someone. If no one in the party needs it, but a friend or guild member needs it, it goes to them. If not, I tend to keep them because if I'm not running it for someone in the party, it's usually, "Oh, hey, look a pass, let's run it".
I don't run these very often though, hence the urge to keep them to sell x.e

ade pretty much summed up my response, but yes i don't usually run them unless someone else is running for a page, so it usually goes to them or someone else i know who might need it, before i sell it.

Priority always goes to whoever needs the page. Otherwise the profits are split evenly among the people who ran the dungeon (regardless of whether they are friends/guild or strangers, although the chances of running an int dungeon with only strangers are much lower).

I usually only run non solo dungeons with friends so I usually split unless they are very rich people and is fine not getting much profit.

Option 3. Though usually I just let whoever owns the pass decide.

Strangers : Selling and splitting takes priority over needs. I only agree to giving it to a member who "needs" it if it is clearly established before the party is formed. If somebody wants it, then they have to compensate the rest of the members somehow. Reason being that we can't verify how the stranger uses the page, they might say they need it and just run off to sell it in secret.
Although, I always debate what to do with it with the other members until a fair consensus is made.

Friends : Help for free.

That, too. If they say they need the valuables after the fact that we've actually gotten it, and not before hand, well...very fishy.

Priority goes to who supplies the pass or statue in the case of an expensive dungeon run.

However, in easy dungeons like Rabbie Normal, the page should go to the person who does the most work.

keep....your pass...your page.

I personally think that whoever asked for help should at least say "thank you" and be polite even if the page didn't drop.
Take my guildy for example. He needed EJ3, and asked me and a couple of other guild members for help on a glowing dungeon. First run, we didn't get anything, so he got mad, ranted a few times in guild chat, and logged off.
He asked the guild a second time, and I was on that run. We got the page (more like I did) and I picked it up. At first, I remembered how ungrateful that member was and refused to give it to him. Then, the entire guild got into trying to convince me to give it back to him, saying it's his statue.

In the end, I just threw (not literally) the page at him and left the guild entirely. If i'm gonna be in a guild whose members don't even appreciate the time and effort I use to help them in their personal endeavors, they don't deserve to receive my help. Furthermore, I have a special grudge against that particular guild member since he refused to address me as the name I had in the guild because "there was a guildy with the same name".

So basically, my point here is that even guild members can be an ass, and friends are no exception. Although I try to be polite to everyone; including strangers, people who test my patience does not deserve to get a share of the reward if I "just happen" to get the page

P.S. he never even said Thank you even after I "threw" the page at him

Oh, that's sad :'<
I didn't take situations like that into account, I was only speaking in general. That's pretty bad, though >_<

The situation really depends.

Rules are set before I go into a dungeon to avoid arguments, especially with friends of friends who I don't know well. It's either

1) Split evenly (most common agreement)
2) Give it to the person if they need it enough.
3) The page goes to the person who acquired the pass in the first place.

I tend to give pages out a lot, since I'm generally a nice person.

I'm a pretty greedy fool.
Though, if I do get a page and I DON'T need it, I give it to someone I know who needs it (though most of the time no one needs it). Otherwise, I use it (if I need it), try to sell it, and if I fail to sell it, I just trash it (if it expires).

I have run literally 2 Alby Int for 4s and none other dungeons that drop pages, so I haven't had any experience. If I was friends with the people I was with I'd split it, if not I'd keep it.

Justified

keep....your pass...your page.

I don't care who has the pass. It's who contributes in the actual run that matters.
Most people who can handle the dungeon themselves (and not call other people to "help"/do all the work) just ask for a drop so that they don't worry about getting ninjad.

As for friend runs, I think it goes without saying that it's always split/given to who needs it.

I voted the 2nd option, unless someone in my party needs it.

If someone needs then I give, though I don't run dungeons that much

Though I would settle it before running, I don't do big runs (such as Glowing or Fiodh Intermediate for 4) with strangers because they could lie and just take it :what:

If the people I'm running with are complete strangers, screw that.

I'm still a very kind person though, but circumstances have taught me not to be too nice.

I only trust my brother, my close friends and some of my guildmates in-game. There's too many bad people and scammers to be too nice.

I had to learn that the hard way.

However, if I could, I would give it all for those people who are closest to me. I've formed tight bonds with some of these "strangers" online that I don't even consider them that. They're fam to me.

I only do runs like that w/ friends, so it goes to whomever needs it first, and then if not, we sell it and share the profits!

If I was running it with friends for fun, i would split the money with them after it sold.
If it was a run for the page, give it to whoever needed it/had the pass
If I just joined a random dungeon run, I would try to play it off like nothing happened, and keep it for myself, unless I wasn't really doing anything on the run, then split the money.

Yuri

Depends. If it's my pass and I happen to need the page, then I'll be a hog. :P

If I don't, then we split the money.

If I'm looking for pages for friends or myself, I make sure the party only contains good friends who I trust, so I don't have some random idiot getting lucky and getting the page instead of the intended person. Since I never run these dungeons in times where people are not farming for the page, I can only think of what I would do. If the party was originally for farming the page and whoever wanted it participated and wasn't completely leeching, I would give it to them. If they were leeching, I would sell it to them for a reduced price. If they were being an asshole, I would sell it for profit outside. I guess it depends on each situation. If for some reason I went farming for this because I got an int for 4 pass, I would probably run it with close friends (might be less than 4 people total, using fillers to enter) and just split the money with them. (This only applies to pages worth more than 500k, anything less, I just sell)

i am currently needing the page so if it does drop im most likely going to use up the page
