Because I hate the following things

1) Alcohol ( I wouldn't mind Prohibition and would gladly support it 150%)
2) Smoking
3) Drugs that have negative impact on the body

Anything that induces hallucinations or make you do stupid arse stuff while on the stuff is enough for me to instantly hate it right off the bat.

As far as I'm aware Pot, makes you too relaxed and do stupid things.

Weed doesn't cause hallucinations to the extent that other drugs cause, and you'd only do "stupid arse stuff" if you'd do it while not high also, at least from what I know. Just open your mind to things that you've never been exposed to before, since you seem to only accept the bad things you hear about drugs.

My childhood was ruined cause of Alcoholic parents. Their smoking probably damaged my lungs through second hand smoke.

No I don't think you are a horrible person for experimenting on it. I do look down upon it though.

While I do make generalizations, I look at the person as a whole. Doing drugs does make my opinion of that person lessen though. I don't ignore it all together but if the person has enough qualities that increase my opinion of them then I'm more than willing to overlook that slight as long as the person doesn't do it around me.

Well I suppose I could look into it more to become more "enlightened" Just so that I'm not hated.

I'm still not changing my mind on smoking or Alcohol though. No matter what. It ruined my childhood. That's fact and nothing further needs to be looked into for that.

Pot on the other hand I have no experience with so there's nothing that can taint that except what I was taught.

I looked into it. Looked at the effects and my mind hasn't changed one bit. While it's none of my business if other people do it. It's nothing I would do to my body. I'm not poisoning myself with that stuff. If people need it for medical reasons fine.

As long as it's illegal in whatever state I'm in then I have a problem with it. I go by the law and rules. I dislike all that is illegal or deemed "illegit" or "illegal".

But that goes for everything as well.

I used to be against alcohol and marijuana before, and still am sorta against the latter, but I did some research and I educated myself on these matters. Just because something is illegal doesn't mean that it is wrong. Sure, you should be careful when doing something illegal, because there's a chance you may get arrested and jailed for it, but weed's not so bad.

If it were, why is it that state officials are more lenient on this day when people get together and smoke weed in public? Or what about smoking marijuana in concerts? A lot of times, nothing happens to people who do. It's usually an accepted thing.

Canada also has legal medicinal marijuana. Some parts of the U.S. do too. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. It helps some people sleep better, it helps some other relieve pain. It's a good medicine, if anything. It relaxes you. What reasons are there for making it illegal, using it outside of medicinal purposes? None that I can think of.

I believe it's because the government (ours specifically) has had a lonnnnng history against drugs. But you have to remember... alcohol was once illegal at one point in American history. People were jailed for selling it, consuming it. They had to purchase alcohol secretly, so they wouldn't get in trouble. But then it was legalized again.

And alcohol is horribly worse than marijuana.

What I'm against really is just how people who use pot are depicted. You know, the lazy stoners, the "yeaaaaaaa, man...." I hate stoners, just like beer pong and crazy frat boys. But alcohol isn't bad in moderation and so isn't weed. On top of that, no one has ever died from smoking too marijuana.

Don't worry too much about it. Stick to your morals. If you don't wanna do it, don't do it. But definitely look into the topic and find out facts. It's better to do your own research than to listen all the time.

I will say this though. How you talked about it Phunkie put me in a much better mood and not as aggressive. It helped open my eyes in a calm manner to look into it more. Calling me ignorant and saying rude things to me isn't going to help me change my mind and is only going to cause me to be even more aggressive and uptight about it. It's just your imagination. Nothing wrong with talking to a tree. People probably think I'm on Pot anyways what with me thinking aloud and acting out fantasy situations in person sometimes. Particularly imaginary dialogues between myself and my adversaries but that's just a small quirk of mine.
