I spent some time thinking about it while I was driving home, but I don't think I have a good answer for you. It looks like you've reached a conclusion; if you get bored of melee, don't forget that giant magic is viable, albeit difficult. If you finalize your stay on Alexina, you should add me and we can chat more or run some stuff to get your AP/training. :>

Oh my. :c Most in the rewards in these games come from combat, unfortunately. I just saw your thread; I'm gonna read it and put up a full reply.
Not in one day, 6 hours total. D: I mean, I feel like it's tedious because it's kinda unrewarding. But mostly it's frustrating to main life skills because getting materials outside of the bazaar is really obnoxious. I understand that it takes hard work to be able to make things people want, but the problem is nobody wants the stuff. Oh, and did I mention not getting my hands on leather? WEAVING IS MY FAVORITE SKILL AND ALL I WANT TO DO IS CUT LEATHER GOD DEVCAT. GOD. I don't really know, I haven't found something I love. Or with the things I love, they have major flaws that make it un-fun. I'm also not really one of those "okay r1 everything gonna be the very best like no one ever was" kinda people.
( X TT ______________________ TT ) 6 hours in one day? I don't blame you; I can't play for that long in a row on most days (especially during allergy season!). As for the rest, I'm not so sure that I can help as I find life skills to be tedious, even though I've only R1'd Refine. It's nice that players can make clothes and weapons that are unique or better than those sold by NPCs, I just don't want to have to do it msyelf... Maybe it's a bit selfish of me? :P
SOLD TO THE GENERAL STORE LOL. It was worth it. \:D/ I know I know i'm sorry but it wasn't worth much more than the selling price orz...which was really high (like 74k for the armor) Also, i'm at a crossroads. I play Mabi for like 6 hours and then I get bored. I really don't know what to do because I want to play but at the same time I get bored. I want to make a character that just has rN/rF everything and just kinda mosey around and farm AP just 'cause, but that's sort of silly. Even though the game feels really life skills-unfriendly, I haven't found a game with a similar system (and I really like Mabi's). It's just...way tedious and impractical, which is a shame. And I lag too much to enjoy combat. /sigh
I haven't caught him yet to ask for the PC, if you haven't sold it yet. But you shouldn't sell something like that to the general store, or I might cry!
nobody gave me a PC so if you find out, that'd be awesome. \o\ I might just sell it to the general store because then i'd get however much I paid for it LOL.
