My character is mainly melee (magic/alchemy support). I am really a musician at heart so I am considering to put more AP to instruments later, and probably focus a bit on commerce mastery. I'm thinking of which skill to free AP from (while not sacrificing any master titles) so that I can put them to better use.

I'm thinking if I should derank any of these skills: Shock/spark, golem, life drain, flame bust/fire alchemy mastery, synthesis, arrow revolver, wind blast.

1. Does alchemy provide decent damage?
2. Is it easy to rank and use?
3. Would it be alright for a beginner to use it or someone more advanced?
4. What are some tips for doing alchemy?
