Well, 1 bag = 20 pieces, which is up to 4 threads per pouch of wool. So it works, but if you can, I'd carry as many as possible.

Using fragmentation makes it really easy to put cheap leather straps to good use. For every 2 straps, you have a chance of obtaining 1 cheap leather back.
Though Walter's PTJ is the easiest. I only recently discovered hid PTJ changes per channel. (I wasted so much time thinking it was the same on each, so when one channel didn't have cheap leather-making as the PTJ, I gave up and waited until the next IG-day.)

Well, for cheap leathers I use Walter's PTJ and spam SCC Basic and/or Longa normal. It works especially well if you use a character with low CP, though even with high CP, you tend to get 2-5 leathers per run either way.

For thin threads, I actually just run around Tir's graveyard until I've got enough, rinse and repeat. But I imagine a spider farm is much more efficient.

Technically, it was before the hackings started. I wouldn't even bother going on now besides maybe doing a bit of metallurgy on my Alt. Though that's out of the question since the game is down atm.

I'm actually fairly lazy too. For my first 10 or so rebirths, I literally only got 30/10 and gave up. I usually don't reach 50+ unless I have way too much free time or there's something like 5x EXP going on. I haven't even started weaving myself (might have that in my sig, I forget), but at least I have enough AP for r1 Crash (just need to finish my rank 2 training).

I'm completely fine with friend requests as long as you ask, so I'll add you once all the chat server stuff gets fixed. I haven't been playing recently due to the lack of a chat server making it a pain to merch while doing homework... ;-; The Hebona was purchased before the mass inflation, so I lucked out.

And really, I don't think I'm even touching those 3 skills, ever. Too many other easier, more entertaining sources of Dex. I actually sort of want to start to branch out into magic already too. Lack of focus. D:
