I would like a big tank maybe when I moved into a bigger house next year. :D Sororities are hard apparently, to be honest I would like just one big tank, but since I liked Bettas and shrimps, I have several. ; v;

My Gourami shows aggression to my one Balloon Molly left, I feel bad for it, always getting chased. All of my other fish are doing well, no deaths for awhile, the NPTs are really blooming and it makes it easier on me. Hehe.

Ohhh, what a big tank. I see you have some Mollies in there too with a nice crowntail Betta, he kinda looks like my SD boy colour-wise. Got some sort of cory too, but I can't tell the species. I didn't have much luck with Balloon Mollies, I only have one left out of six I bought. );

I upgraded my ten gallon to a 55 gallon >D

The plants still need to grow in (and the banana plant melted in the move) but I'm liking all the space.

Ohhh, usually bottled cycling products don't work and are rip-offs. D: When you're finished with cycling you should only add a specie of fish at a time, cause you're ammonia will spike. So a species a week, should be good.

Haha and you might not see the snails yet, but you'll have them for sure, give it about two weeks for them to start showing up.

Yeah Neon Tetras prefer more swimming space but they can do well in a 10g provided you give them their needs. I wouldn't have actually recommended Neon Tetras, they're too active and might freak out your Betta, while on the other hand Ember Tetras are kinda less active and tinier so, they're the way to go if you want a tetra specie in your tank.

Yeh, if you have sand, Cories would be a great addition.

I would suggest Ember Tetras they're small and non-aggressive fish, I wouldn't recommend fish like Neon Tetras because they school very well and when they swim, they'll swim back and forth very fast and sometimes the combination of numbers and activeness can tick off your Betta.

What kind of filter are you using? If you haven't already I might suggest doubling your filter size, because in my tank I'm actually running a filter that's for 20g tanks. The more filtration capacity you have the better it is, although you'll have to baffle your filter but you'd have to baffle it with a regular 10g filter, since Bettas are such weak swimmers. Oh shoot, I forgot to mention this to you but, Pygmy Cories only do well in sand and not with any gravel tanks, reason for this is that they have basically small whiskers and the gravels will hurt their whiskers. . So, unless you have sand I wouldn't recommend them to you.

Also with live plants or not, they're actually quite easy. . Get the right lighting (6500k), gravel or sand doesn't really matter, you can even use potting soil but it has to be organic and natural with no added additives. Plants are generally easy, just get the ones that require less maintenance. You get snails no doubt about that, if you're worried just get an Assasin snail, these snails will eat pest snails, so they're handy.
