It really depends. On older computers especially, you sometimes notice hardcore slowdowns when the disk is showing a lot of activity. I believe it's because the CPU has to process everything, as the storage controller is/was not offloaded. And then bottlenecked CPU -> shit FPS. Not really an issue for more modern systems, however... I think. xP

The original FF XIV was... disappointing. I played the beta for that. I've heard they improved the game a lot since then, but eventually took it down to remake it as 2.0. The higher ups apologized and stuff, for damaging the FF brand and whatnot.. it was pretty srs bsns stuff. 2.0 has very high expectations.

Doesn't really matter that much to me in the end, though, as I'm rather busy with work to care about games as much as I used to.

I had the Asus GTX 670 DC2 card, but ended up returning it because it kept doing weird scanline-like things on high load and I could never figure out why. >.< Tried two different copies of the Asus GTX 670 DC2 and my Seasonix X-560 PSU, and they did the same thing. D: Really nice card otherwise.

Dunno how much an SSD affects it, but more cores definitely help with speeding up compile times.
