10 min lock on log in from different IP
If you log in from a different IP than the one you used for your last log in, using the mail system, npc shop system, and dropping items are all restricted for 10 minutes.
But for some reason, EVERY time I log in, it reads as a different IP. Now, I know I'm noob when it comes to computer technicalities, but I'm rather sure I'm not using a different IP each time I turn my computer on.
Even if I am, I'll open the client, then restart the client*, and when I log back in, it says I'm using a different IP than the one I was using only seconds ago.
Is this Vindi's fail or mine? Are there any ways to fix it? It's not really a big problem just waiting, I'm pretty patient and I don't mind 10 minutes at all. But the forgetting....Ugh. I end up doing a run while I wait to be able to get more spears or sell junk, or buy mats, and when I'm done I've already forgotten what I needed.
I usually remember when I go to craft/turn in quests/use a spear and then finish my business after the fact. But that takes so much time and it's frustrating when I could have already been done with it when I first logged on and had it in my mind.
*Unrelated problem: if I go back to the main screen and log into another character, I can't use the friend PM or guild chat systems. I have to exit the client completely to get them to work again. BUT THEN I'M IN ANOTHER IP AND CAN'T DO NOTHING.

Dynamic IP? I dont' really know about technical stuff like this though.
Relogging doesn't reset the 10 minutes limit on IP change.

It does when you log in with a different IP than the one you were using before you tried to relog.

Sounds like a problem with your router or internet connection than Vindictus.

^ From what I know about computers, the IP can't be changed if it's in use. Though I may be wrong. Do you know of a way to fix (and I mean affix) my IP?

Are you sure your router/internet connection isn't resetting? Each time my internet disconnects, it changes.

There is a process which opens up with Vindictus called NMservice, you can find using task manager under processes, make sure it's running? I found that if you cancel it or what not, don't have it on, it does weird things to your chat, friends, marketplace and what not.
So make sure you have it running? Maybe you use a program which prohibits from activating?

That process keeps your browser connected to the game. I always log in from the site, so I don't know how it works by running directly from vind.exe.
Anyway, NGM Service checks that you are logged in the site, and if you aren't then you can't use the market place, guild chat or friend list.

^I'm always connected to the Nexon Messenger. But it doesn't work if I log out and then in without resetting the client. That's not the problem I care about though. I really wouldn't mind if that issue never got fixed.

Not sure if you read, but I'm not disconnecting. I'm connected to the internet the whole time and it still changes. On one occasion, I logged in, logged out, and logged back in literally within seconds of the first log in and was in a different IP than the first time. I don't disconnect.

It's nothing bad, is it?
I mean, I don't really get mail that much anyway.
