How to Make Rosemary/Ophelia Glove: the Guide

Alright, many people have been asking for this so here is a thread made to clarify.
-I. Disclaimer

This guide was written to inform people sort of like a wiki page. *maybe u wiki people can add this page ONLY IF you mention mabination. :D

If this were to be posted on mabidata, it would go under mabinogi data just like the new enchant listing.

Claiming that this guide will harm the chance of an individual/group desiring to craft the Rosemary Glove is same thing as saying the recent addition of Oblivion enchant in enchant database will harm those who are looking for the enchant when g13 comes out.

It is common knowledge people, not field boss time table.


I. Introduction
This glove is used to pick up the Sword of Elsinore, which is stuck on the ground like this:



The skill used to craft this glove is Tailoring


II. How to get the Sewing

This is done by fishing in Avon. If you are going to afk fish during the night, make sure you organize your inventory so that the manual wont drop and poof.
Be aware that for the first few weeks of G13, the glitch might still exist and your manual will have 0/30 dura.

III. Tailoring
The manual's rank is 4 and completion rate for one try is 5%~6%
At r1 Tailoring, r1 Production Mastery, and Monday, success rate is 98%.
Maybe with raincasting, it will go up to 99%

Per each try, you need: 1 Polar Fabric, 1 Ice Silk, and 2 Finest Leather Straps).


IV. Gathering the Materials
Polar Fabric is dropped by snow trolls
Ice silk is more complex.
5 Snow Cobwebs (dropped by snow spiders) ->1 Cold String
5 Cold String ->1 Ice Silk

Thus, to make 1 Ice Silk you need 25 Snow Cobwebs.

And as for finest leather... Seriously... if you don't know how to get finest leather by now, you prob can't make rosemary glove. lol


V. Rates for Mats
At r1 Weaving
Making cold string is 62%
Making ice silk is 36%

though there is another report that says at r2 weaving and r1 prod, its
string 99%
silk: 65%
maybe this person had monday bonus?


VI. Cost

Since completion rate is 5%, you will need 20 tries.
That is
20 polar fabs
20 ice silks
40 finest straps.

20 ice silks=500 snow webs.

On average, if there is no competition for the snow webs (if you are the only one trying to make rosemary glove), it will only cost 250k per web. However, that is subject to change due to the economic status of NA servers.
But if the competition is really up, then it may go up to 800k per web. >_>

And I read that you get a snow web per 15 king's request (avon mission).

15x500=7500 runs of king's request.


VII. Repair
It was previously fleta only repair (as of August 2010)

But ever since October 2010, it can be simon repaired

If it takes 15min to run king's request,

7500x15=112,500minutes
112500/60=1875hours
1875/24=78.125 days.

Within a week you say?

The 5% completion rate does not include party, thunder, and raincasting bonuses? It would seem un-wise to try to make it without a party and/or thunderstorm.

You may get +10% completion rate with party+thunderstorm. Maybe even more. Rain casting/Thunderstorm/Party does not increase success rate, only completion rates.

Unless this glove is special, and negates all the other bonuses.
