I'd find it interesting if there was a tattoo skill. No, not skulls or anything, but the Mabi symbol and some other things! The tattoos would last one day, real time so you'd have to make a lot.
Kiddie tattoos !

This restoration cannot exceed the initial durability the weapon came with (except in the case that the equipment grade is improved), nor can it replace durability that has been lost from equipment upgrades; basically, it can only restore durability lost from repair/enchant failure.
Prerequisites for learning: r1 Blacksmithing, r1 Tailoring, r1 Carpentry, r1 Production Mastery

ouch. Refurbish has some potential, but your suggested prerequisites are horrifying.
Item repair would be really nice.... but not likely. And I wonder why not? Sure, make it so that it's about like blacksmithing to rank, or something, and I'd even be ok with having a cap on the success rate being 98% at r1. But it'd be so much more /useful/ than most of the lifeskills. Everyone would be interested, and everyone would have a use for it. Wouldn't need to have it give any stat bonuses from training it, and it could even be fairly expensive in terms of AP (though I'd prefer lower ranges there- mebbe 120 total).
Also agree with the gathering.... I'd be willing to spend a few AP to increase the drop rate from nature. Production mastery does this, no? But it's still low enough that you can get tons of completely wasted attempts.
On a slightly offtopic thought, wonder if the uncapped handicraft will have any use for those currently useless metal conversion byproducts? Nickel, Zinc, and Tin. It kinda makes sense with their description ~ so pure that it doesn't need any refining to be used~
Something to use with the Zink, tin ores you get from metal convg
How about a Jewler skill thing, where you can use gems to craft cool accesories (rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc). Would give a new use for gems. Perhaps you could cut them into specific shapes and grade cuts and stuff :D
Add on to Blacksmithing/Tailoring: Repairing (Armor only for Blacksmith/vice versa)
Repairing begins at Rank 5, higher Dex increases % of repair
Higher ranks of prequisite skills adds repair chance (Refining/Weaving)
Items in parentheses are the rates with R1 Refine/Weaving.
R5 - 50% Repair rate (70%)
R4 - 55% Repair rate (70%)
R3 - 60% Repair rate (75%)
R2 - 60% Repair rate (75%)
R1 - 70% Repair rate: Master title adds +10% (Maximum 95%)
New Mastery: Repairing Mastery- Increases success rate for repairing
RF +10% repairing
R9 +15% repairing
R5 + 20% repairing
R1 + 30% repairing
-Higher ranked items (Dustin Silver Knight, High Class Leather Armor) subtract repair rates
-Max repair rate is 100% (If perfected mini-game)
-All items that cannot be obtained from stores is a Rank 1 item
-Repairing using a blacksmithing/tailoring scroll greatly increases chances of success
-There is a mini-game for repairing
-Repairing Rank 5+ items requires many, many items
Completion of quest is required to activate repairing.
Humans - Ferghus
Giants - Taunes
Elves - Meles
Quest is not a walk in the park.
